About Me

Cynthia Lennon
At 18 she was attending Liverpool College of Art, where she met Lennon (who was a year younger than she) and began a relationship the following spring (Lennon thought that she resembled Brigitte Bardot). In the summer of 1962, she discovered she was pregnant with his child. They married on August 23 at the Mount Pleasant Registry Office in Liverpool. Their marriage was kept a secret at the request of The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein, who believed The Beatles' female fans might lose interest in the band if they knew Lennon was married. Epstein's wedding gift to the pair was an apartment he kept in Liverpool, so they could have a private home. Their son, John Charles Julian Lennon, was born April 8, 1963, at Sefton General Hospital in Liverpool.
Yoko Ono Lennon
Ono first met John Lennon when he visited a preview of an exhibition of Ono's at the Indica Gallery in London on November 9, 1966. Lennon's first personal encounter with Ono involved her passing him a card that read simply "Breathe". He was taken with the positivity, humour, and interactivity of her work, such as a ladder leading up to a black canvas with a spyglass on a chain allowing John to read the word "Yes" written on the canvas along with a real apple displayed with a card reading "APPLE." When John was told the price of the apple was 200 pounds, he thought, "This is a joke, this is pretty funny". Another display was a white board with nails in it with a sign inviting visitors to hammer a nail into its surface. Since the show was not beginning until the following day, Ono refused to allow Lennon to hammer in a nail. The gallery owner whisked her away, saying, "Don't you know who that is? He's a millionaire!" (Ono later claimed not to know who John Lennon or the Beatles were, though some friends remember her being quite interested in the band and wanting to get involved with them). Upon returning to John, she said he could hammer in a nail for five shillings. Lennon replied, "I'll give you an imaginary five shillings if you let me hammer in an imaginary nail".They began an affair approximately two years later, eventually resulting in Lennon divorcing his first wife, Cynthia Lennon. Ono and Lennon married on March 20, 1969 in Gibraltar. Their son, Sean, was born on Lennon's 35th birthday, on October 9, 1975.
Linda McCartney
On 15 May 1967, Linda met McCartney at a Georgie Fame concert at The Bag O'Nails club in London; She was in the UK on an assignment to take photographs of musicians. McCartney, Linda and members of the The Animals went on to The Speakeasy, a club on Margaret Street, and Eastman later accompanied McCartney back to his house in Cavendish Avenue. The two met again four days later at a launch party for the Sgt. Pepper album at Brian Epstein's house in Belgravia. Linda had a four-year-old daughter back in New York City, and flew back to New York when her assignment was completed.Paul asked Linda to move in with him in October 1968, and the two were married on 12 March 1969. She was four months pregnant with his daughter Mary McCartney. She and her husband raised four children: Heather Louise (from her previous marriage, whom Paul adopted), Mary Anna, Stella Nina, and James Louis. She has three grandsons, all born after her death: Mary's two sons Arthur Alistair Donald, (born 3 April 1999) and Elliot Donald (born 1 August 2002) and Stella's son Miller Alasdhair James Willis (born 25 February 2005). Her daughter Stella gave birth to a baby girl named Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis on 8 December 2006 with the child's middle name in honour of her late grandmother.
Pattie Boyd
After meeting on the set of A Hard Day's Night, Pattie married George Harrison on January 21, 1966, during the heyday of his group, The Beatles. Pattie went on to divorce Harrison on June 9, 1977, and later marry Clapton on March 27, 1979.Pattie was the inspiration for one of Harrison's most famous Beatles songs, "Something." Frank Sinatra called it one of the best Lennon/McCartney songs ever recorded, though in actuality it was written entirely by Harrison. George told Pattie that "Something" was written for her, but after she left him Harrison denied Pattie was his muse.
Olivia Harrison
In 1974, Arias met George Harrison at a party. They began phone conversations and realized they had much in common. ( At the time, Arias was a secretary for A&M Records. Harrison had a recording contract with the company.) Following the disintegration of Harrison's marriage with model Pattie Boyd, Arias moved into Friar Park.On August 1, 1978, Arias and Harrison had their first and only child, Dhani (who attends Brown University). Unfortunately, Harrison's beloved parents (who had recently died) were unable to see his marriage to Arias on September 2 of that year. The newlyweds maintained the lowest profile of all the Beatle couples.
Maureen Starkey
The 18-year-old Cox married Ringo Starr on February 11, 1965. Their first child, Zak Starkey, was born on September 13, 1965. (Zak was followed by Jason on August 19, 1967 and Lee on November 11, 1970 ). During this time, Maureen was very much a part of Ringo's life, and they did everything together. She sang backup vocals on "The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill" and also was, along with Yoko Ono, in attendance at the rooftop concert in 1969. (Paul can be heard saying "Thanks Mo").When the Beatles broke up in 1970, the Starkey marriage began to unravel over the next five years. Ringo's infidelities were increasing even more, his alcoholism becoming more of a problem. To make matters worse, when the Starrs were visiting George and Pattie Harrison, George said how much he loved Maureen. Rumors have persisted that this fateful evening led to the breakup of the Harrisons' and Starrs' marriages.Despite all of the marriage problems the couple faced, Maureen Starkey did not want a divorce. Her husband, however, simply wanted out. Maureen unwillingly accepted. On July 17, 1975, the divorce was finalized on the grounds of Ringo's affair with an American model, Nancy Andrews.
Barbara Bach
British musician Ringo Starr and Bach met on the set of the film Caveman in 1980. They were married on April 27, 1981, just a few weeks after the film's release. Since the mid-1980s, Bach has been inactive as an actress; in recent years, she has accompanied Starr on his tours. Bach currently resides in Aspen, Colorado.
