it seems this simple word has invaded genres like a burrowing virus, attaching itself and growing rapidly like a malignant tumor. Altering the genre and turning it into a zombified facade of what it once was.
So far the recent trend from 2002 to mid 2006 was metalcore, but something more sickening has arisen, Deathcore. I cannot figure out what these simple minded organism's called scenesters see within this "genre". Death Metal has turned into an outlet for scene points, Death Metal is not the bastard child of this hardcore faggotry. I really don't think scenester's even have an opinion on this type of music, as long as it's "brutal" and has blast beats, pig squeals, and breakdowns, they'll listen to this blasphemy they call music.
How does this happen you ask? I'm not quite sure, but in the eyes of these kiddies Death Metal means tight pants, reverse mullets, eyeliner, and breakdowns. I'm sure as hell not about to sit around and let this happen to a good genre of music.
Job For A Cowboy and (to an extent) The Black Dahlia Murder started this all, but even they are the lesser of evil's. Since the release of the Doom EP by JFAC, scenesters have been on a quest to find bands of similar quality and bands have come to the surface as a sort of a copy cat, but even more scene.
a few examples are, Through The Eyes of The Dead, Bring Me The Horizon, Waking The Cadaver, The Acacia Strain, Oceano, Burning The Masses, WeCameWithBrokenTeeth, O' Captain My Captain, I Killed The Prom Queen, Winds Of Plague, Suicide Silence, Despised Icon, The Faceless, Orphans In Coma, Gutted With Broken Glass, IVEBEENSHOT, IWATCHEDHERDIE, Cholera, and a hell of a lot more.
These scene kids have also latched themselves onto technical death metal as well, claiming they listen to bands like Necrophagist. The truth is, they'll listen to anything with an arpeggio thrown in out of nowhere.
These fags have no idea what the music they claim to listen to is about.

-For the people who decide to hatemail me, don't let my "opinion" (where all this is blatantly fact =P) change how you feel about a band that you like. If you let someone else's views do that to you, well you're just as bad as any scene kid there ever was. Plus, Why let anyone elses opinion get you upset enough to hatemail me, I'm just expressin my opinion like everyone else.
This site is mostly geared toward the fashionxcore homos who have a stranglehold on the hardcore community. Other than that, I have immense respect for the older Hardcore acts and DIY punk. Without those bands my music wouldn't be where it is today.
