About Me

ApokalypseOriginally formed in 1999 by three kids who just wanted to play the music they liked, Thrash Metal, and have fun doing it. Over the years, the band under went a roller coaster of events from line-up changes, shows, to recording the demo CD "Acts of War". The band was put on the shelf by members Ricky Duarte, Jeff da Fonte, Jeff Burke, and Dan Danjuski in early 2005 to pursue other musical projects.During a trip to Bedford, NH to see Moonspell, one of the major influences in band's song writing, in October of 2006 Ricky Duarte and Jeff Burke had a long conversation during the drive about bringing back Apokalypse to get back the fun, brotherhood vibe that had always existed in the band and that both of them missed. Then came the task of finding the rest of the band, they attempted on contacting old members to join the band. Cory Musial returned to play bass for about a months only to part ways. Ross Liberti's offered to lend a helping hand on Drums until we found a perminant drummer due to prior commitment in Blackwater Noise but due schedule conflicts no jamming ever really occurred, but we thank Ross for his moral support during the intial song writing times. Upon Jeff returned from college in January of 2007 and they decided to get to serious business to piece the band together but still keep the atmosphere. They recruited Jon Fiory to play bass and were in talks with bringing back an old drummer but it didn't work out that way. So they moved Jon to drums, his primary instrument, and along with his drum kit he walked in with Jeff Sousa, a bass player, and joined in on the jam session. So by the end of February the line up was complete. They worked on writing and perfecting new songs and played some shows. Following a show in late October the band parted ways with Jeff Sousa. The decided to follow through on the plan to record there two "Epic" (long) songs and a short instrumental, even if only as a three piece. So on November 1st, 2007 they began the recording process. Within a months time, they found a prospective bass player in Chris Holland, having their line-up rounded off once again. This seemed to bring the band's goals into perspective and a new found enthusiasm in band has taken hold of its members. The "... Too Far Back?" EP was completed on January 27th, 2008 and marks the beginning of what will hopefully be a great new year for the band. The members of Apokalypse are prepared forge ahead with careers playing the music they create and have fun doing it. The "...Too Far Back?" EP is Available on the merch page of our website.
