Slackenloader formed in Oct 0f 1997. Performing about 40-50 nights, 3 hour shows, for 10 years, we've done a lot of stage time. We enjoy playing bars, clubs, parties, festivals, Grand Openings (Harley Davidson Livermore, American Cycles Hayward, Industrial Strength Cycles Tracy), weddings, corporate parties-anywhere quality hard rock/heavy metal music is needed. We try to not play the same stuff as the others around us and strive to put power & quality 1st. We have played all around the Central Valley & Bay Area of Northern Cali as well as trips to Reno & Sparks Nevada, Santa Cruz, Stoneyford, Fat Cat in Modesto, Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa and look forward to expanding our conquests to include your town. We have played for Bike clubs such as the Sons of California (3x), The Henchmen (4x) and at the 9/11 Never Forget Run for the Iron Nation club in Reno (2x). In 2003 we were 1st Runner-up & in 2004 and 2007 were voted "Favorite Local Band" in the ModestoBee Readers Poll. That same 2004 year we received a MAMA Nomination in the Best Blue Collar Band category. We've hosted Rock 95 Rock nights, we play regulary (for the past 6 seasons) at the BLACK HOLE Tailgate at the Raiders games. We were honored with an Appreciation Award from the Black Hole Tailgate Club. We were immortalized in print in the book "Better To Reign In Hell:Life Inside The Raiders Fan Empire". We've been on TV over a dozen times ( usually about 5-8 seconds) during the sports report after Raiders Games and on YouTube & Podcasts & call-in interviews & promotions on Radio. Our plans include releasing our own music, but for now we would like to expand the knowledge of our presence and play many new venues, or perhaps do some soundtrack/movie projects.Major fans of Horror films, Haunted Houses and everything artistically gruesome and gorey. The darkest, most chilling imagery and fantastically horrific visions. Women want to be with us,Other bands want to be us..and they try to copy our style & match our power and they always come up short. We're bigger than you, stronger than you and we will always beat you. Nobody said life was fair. They rig the machine , because if they didn't, we'd take over the freakin' Universe. You have to experience us to understand and taste our quality, to come to the realization of what you've been missing. It's o.k. that you finally made it here, sorry the other bands wasted your time..notice how they failed to mention us...that's FEAR & ENVY. They may 'talk the talk' but they can't Rock The Block! This is an Exhibition with no competition..so please..no wagering. We also can really bring the cheese. We actually are friends with many of our contemporaries. Tongue in your cheeks.
