He left Malaysia in 1990 to pursue his DJ career in Switzerland after receiving a job offer to dj. His sound signature can be heard on various labels such as CrosstownRebels, Turbo, Funkhaus,Hypercolour and most recently on Internasiojnal;his style is an eclectic mix of soul,funk,techno,jazz and deep house music. Frankie Flowerz, Audio Royal;Hybrid Funk and 2 Dawgs are some of the Artist names he records under. Having been on the DJ circuit for a good 24 years, Mohan has either supported /opened for/played in a party with Kenny Dixon Jr(Moodymann), Theo Parrish,Trentemoeller,Laurent Garnier ,LTJ Bukem, Etienne de Crecy, George Morel (Germany tour during the Coke Dj Culture in 2002)and played in the coke DJ Culture Tent in the Sonne , Mond ,Sterne Festival 2006 which featured Carl Craig, Afrika Bambaata,Kevin Saunderson , James Zabiella etc. Mohan also throws his own parties( (EU clubnight Parties,3 Men on 4 Decks; Little Asia in Big Berlin etc)and organises Funkhaus Label Nights where he brings in guests from around the world( M.A.N.D.Y , Headman etc) In the early new Millenium (2000)-Mohan organized exchange DJ Programmes between Berlin and Asia and made it possible for Malaysian DJ's such as Gabriel, Ray Soo, Jungle Jerry and also the electroclash outfit DISCOMAFIA to play Berlin. Being a qualified Audio Engineer, Mohan is also tutoring students in Electronic Music Production as well as hosting DJ workshops etc.“My main influences over the past decade are deep house, techno and loads of funk, as always†“ I listen to everything ;- I guess growing up in the mid 70ties and 80ties played a role in that borderless part of me…â€In 2005 he organised and held the first ever Tsunami Benefit ( 2 days) in co-operation with UNICEF and NO-Ufo’s in Berlin.Paul Van Dyke made a guest appearence on the second night as well and played to a hungry PVD audience. All door collections were donated to victims of the catastrophe, mainly children in Sri Lanka.Frankie Flowerz or Mohan as most know him, plays house,electro and techno - apart from that he also loves playing soul, funk ,jazz and downtempo.;.expect to hear the oldskool,newskool and the future sounds in his dj sets.
