About Me

Seguidilla
..The Night and Day Trio are Max Mendoza, Andre Giraldo, and Daniel Ramirez. The group met while attending Cal State Fullerton, and decided to form as a trio while on tour with the Fullerton Guitar Orchestra. Since the group formed all three members became fast friends, and all made a commitment, to bringing a high quality chamber music experience to their audiences. The group continues to work to this end and accepts nothing less. This dedication has garnered the group recognition at Cal State Fullerton. They were the only guitarists selected to take part in the Cal State Fullerton 50th Anniversary musical gala concert. They were also the only chamber group selected, and highlighted on a weeklong tour of the Central Coast of California, with the CSUF guitar orchestra. The group performed at their peak on the tour, and was well received by enthusiastic audiences wherever they played. In their quest to become an even tighter unit, the group has actively pursued master classes both at CSUF and where ever the opportunity presents itself, such as the GFA festival when it was in Los Angeles. Some of the people the group has performed for in master classes include: Roland Dyens, Martha Masters, Hubert Kappel, Gerard Abiton, Jose Luis Merlin, the Live Oak Duo, and Eric Franceries to name a few. The group is indebted to the lessons and the guidance of both David Grimes and Richard Turner, for helping each player along individually and then teaching them how to play together as a group and excel. The group is also inspired by chamber groups like the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, and groups like Triada and the De Falla Trio. The goal of the Night and Day trio is to be able to share their own musical expression, and bring a high quality musical experience into the lives of others.
