Nick Montalvo

"I became a student of the classical guitar, after going to a concert my father referred me to. I saw classical guitarist, Elliot Fisk, perform at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. I was blown away by the sensitivity and poetic sounds coming out from the guitars' I heard that night. (Paco Pena also played that night.) Never before have I heard such beauty on a guitar before. The guitar lured me in: I have fallen in it's sound hole and have never come out. I now have a profound love for the instrument and am grateful I can now play. I am now on my journey to master the instrument, One day at a time, one song at a time, and one pluck at a time." (Nicolas Montalvo) Nicolas Montalvo is currently attending California State University, Fullerton as a guitar performance music major. He is an active member of the CSUF Guitar Orchestra and other ensembles including the Hollywood Guitar Quartet. Nicolas also composes solo and ensemble music for the guitar.Nicolas Montalvo performs for private parties, wedding's, romantic dinners and other events all over Southern California. Nicolas Montalvo currently teaches in the city of Bellflower and Anaheim and currently has opening's for more students of the guitar. Nicolas teaches all styles of guitar to all ages of students.
