The Big Bang is a theory that all things in the universe exploded from a point. The New Testament is book that says God made a baby with the Virgin Mary and he died for all our sins. The Invincible Kids are three lads realizing their minds are made of stardust and that sometimes, life blows like brains from a zombie's asshole; but with the right girl/guy at your side, life is fucking priceless. They have a drum set (Adam) a Fender Jazzmaster (Stos) a microphone & keyboard (Drew) and an iPod full of electronic compositions produced by the band in the wee hours of the night on laptop computers. People say they sound like: an orgasm on the Death Star, Green Day, the war on terror in reverse (which sounds like good clean American fuckin'), LCD Sound System, the grinding of the tectonic plates of corporate greed and self-respect, Muse, post punk rock electro with the audacity to equate the President and the Vice President’s relationship to “I think his Dick might be crookedâ€, Metric and Hot Hot Heat.
Drew has been a pianist, a jazz trumpeter, a tap dancer, a music theater nerd, a metal drummer with piercings and fishnets, a poet named Exacto, an electronic performer, a straight edge emo turned stoner groove doctor, a barista in Berkeley looking for his break in the rock scene, an actor extraordinaire, a flash designer, a screenwriter, a tragic hero choir kid with a heart of gold and a fist of fury. Lately he’s been playing the cowbell, the tambourine, and a Roland synthesizer. He met Stos for the first time when he was auditioning for his band at a train station in San Francisco, wearing a toy monkey, with a shiner on his left eye .
Stos has been a guitarist, a singer, a teacher, a visual artist, a model Gemini, a comic book nerd, a teenage SoCal math-punk, Nintendo fanboy, an L.A. transplant to the tundra, a daydreaming idealist, a MIDI/synth junkie, a hopeless romantic powered by weed, a Greek warrior on the quest for greatness, a Peter Griffin impersonator, a heartbreaker, known to blow smoke rings at lingerie-hookah parties and rip mad solos out of the loudest super twin amp ever created. Lately he’s been rebuilding his titanium-plated wrist, splattering ink designs on paper, and painting digital files. He met Adam when he moved to Minnesota from SoCal to start a band with Drew.
Adam has been: drumming since day one out of the womb, watching old VHS tapes of Buddy Rich, watching his dad play jazz and big band swing on the drums, a track star, a snowboarder, a wake boarder, a McNally Smith grad, a party animal. He can fix sustain pedal wiring on the fly with duct tape and is skilled with the soldering iron, the iPod rock-stop, he's a fucking Bond driver behind the wheel. Lately he’s been losing his headphones when getting shitty after a show in NorthEast Minneapolis and then laughing hysterically later that night when a drunk girl crashed into the trailer hitch on the band’s Suburban. He met Drew through producer Jonathan Moehnke of Airborne Creative Studios where Adam is a studio drummer. Jonny also tracked the drums on The Invincible Kids upcoming EP that was finished at Shortman Studios with Kid Dakota.
The Invincible Kids are: good hearted boys who scream when society is rotten, who meld punk and electronic music into something new and sexy, the band that will make all our your wildest fantasies come to life before your eyes and save the world at the same time. Their self titled EP will be out in the Spring of 2008.
