About Me

Matt Robinson and John Mullaney, the two halves of this British rock duo, blend hauntingly beautiful pianos with widescreen guitars and emotive vocals.Over the past nine years, Last Picture Show have released two EPs: Last Picture Show (1999) and Fire Underwater (2001). Their interpretation of Feeder's Moonshine was selected as the closing track on the Place Inside Our Minds (2003) tribute album to drummer Jon Lee. "Accomplished and the strongest performance of the CD", said one review. The Eps surfaced on a collected recordings album called “Undertow" along with the spiky drum'n'bass track "Stay Gold" and the gothic-tinged "Until The End".The most explosive moment in the band's musical output came with the release of their debut album "Against The Current". Reminiscent of U2 and Coldplay's most anthemic moments, this stunning record is capturing the hearts and imaginations of the band's dedicated fans and opening them up to a whole new audience. The album effortlessly moves from the arena-sized rock of "In The Jar" and "Tanks" to the electronica of "Sky" and the instrumental soundtrack "Rise".The band performed both album and back catalogue over a series of gigs in Atlanta over 2005 and 2006. The largest show was in front of 4,000 at the DragonCon convention.Enjoy the songs and the band look forward to hearing from you...
