No Sense Productions (Vancouver)

No Sense Productions. Vancouver Hardcore/Punk.

About Me

My name is Shaun. Some people call me Citrus. Others call me Pappy.
After taking some time off from promoting shows i'm back in the game. Sorta. At this point i'm putting on shows for bands i really like, that i'm friends with, and/or who have a message I believe in.
I started putting on shows around 1991 (first show; Malignant Growth, RCMP, Vocal Resistance, Section 8 and guests at Sacred Heart Parish in Edmonton). By the time i started putting on shows i was already doing other "behind the scenes" shit work in the punk/hardcore world, and over the years that has included; radio shows, zines, booking agent, roadie, promoter, distribution, working in record stores, etc. I started out in Edmonton, but have spent time in alot of cities including Calgary, Montreal and now I'm back in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Recently i've worked with such bands as Fucked Up, Lucero, Rocky Votolato, The First Step and such local bands as Go It Alone, the Tranzmitors, Daggermouth, Deadsure, Carpenter and others. The list of bands i've worked with over the years is lengthy and diverse.
I prefer to promote all ages shows, but will sporadically book shows in bars. It all depends on the band, the crowd they bring out, etc.
UPDATE: As of March 2007 No Sense Productions is now a 2-man operation! I'm happy to say that Steveston Mike, host of "Flex Your Head" radio show on CITR, is now part of this illustrious organization. Check out his site, where you can download the podcast of his radio show, www.flexyourhead.net
