My name is Charles Edward Shaw, and I am the original voice of Milli Vanilli's first hit song Girl You Know It's True.I was born on July 4, 1960 in Houston, Texas. As a teenager, I joined the US Army and relocated to Germany. In the early 80s, I left the Army to be a singer, not a fighter.In early 1988, I was hired as a studio musician by the German producer Frank Farian to record my vocals on a remake of the original song by Numarx, Girl You Know It's True. The song was then released under the artist name Milli Vanilli.The rest is history.For the last 3 years, I have been working on my biography which will explain more historical background of what went down behind the scenes of one of the largest scandals in musical history from my perspective.I am currently looking for a publisher, as Universal Pictures is working on a movie about Milli Vanilli.
