obfuscation at its best

About Me

Eclectic, mildly sleepy and yet surprisingly alert, with a penchant for drawing and writing. Oh, and watching movies like Dark City. And listening to music. Reading Neil Gaiman, dancing around in my living room like a happy idiot, and all sorts of other nice things. Myspace Layouts

My Interests

reading, writing (poetry, prose, comics), photography, sculpture, illustration, painting, sewing, webcomics, musicals, movies, travel, costume designing, mythology, losing hours and hours of my life to my comic ( http://flux.comicgenesis.com )

I'd like to meet:

Entertaining, peculiar people.

Music:

Almost anything, but with a particular fondness for classic rock and old jazz a la Nina Simone. This is not discounting folk rock, alt rock, musicals, classical, or rap. Pretty much the only music styles that really irritate me on the whole are opera, self-referential r&b, emo and stereotypical country. Play any of those, and I may have to hurt you. mp3 blogs | Scissor Sisters MP3s

Movies:

considering the rest of my lists, I'm not even going to touch this one for now. Maybe later.

Television:

Doctor Who, Pushing Daisies, Carnivale, Chasing Evil, Veronica Mars, Family Guy, Futurama, Cowboy Bebop, Colbert Report, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, VR5, Star Trek (original and TNG), Firefly, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Pretender, Profiler, American Gothic.... You might notice most of what I like is no longer running. Yeeeeaaah, lots more free time now.

Books:

This list could go on forever, despite the fact that I am less than enamored with most of the ones coming out these days. I've mainly shifted to graphic novels these days. So, for books I can currently think of off the top of my head: DaVinci Code, most of the Harry Potters, Weaveworld, the Uncanny, Good Omens, Triggerfish Twist, Orange Crush, Lullaby, Smoke and Mirrors, Salem's Lot, Dracula, Mythology: The Illustrated Anthology of World Myth and Storytelling, Foundation Trilogy, Lord of the Rings Trilogy (that's long before the movies came out, thankyouverymuch), Doll's Eye, The Vanishing, Animal Farm, Anil's Ghost, the Giver, Wicked, American Gods.......nevermind, the list goes on. For graphic novels, only in a different category because there's just so many: Transmetropolitan, Strangers in Paradise, Sandman, Promethea, Top Ten, Extraordinary League of Gentlemen, Watchmen, Books of Magic, Veils, Why I Hate Saturn, Angel Sanctuary, Preacher, Kabuki, Starman, Bone, Alien/Predator Deadliest of the Species, From Hell, Sin City, Hellblazer, Finder, the Flight anthologies.......and even skipping the rest, I feel like I ought to have put in all of the serialized webcomics as well, even if they aren't in novel format. But I shall resist. This is too long already.

Heroes:

oh internet, what can't you do?

My comic actually got reviewed a while ago and I didn't even know it. And the review is tremendously good. I would be hopping and dancing around if I wasn't still at work. Maybe I will anyway.http:...
