About Me

DALE DYE was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He graduated as a cadet officer from Missouri Military Academy but there was no money for college so he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in January 1964. He served in Vietnam in 1965 and 1967 through 1970 surviving 31 major combat operations. He emerged from Southeast Asia highly decorated including three Purple Hearts for wounds suffered in combat. He spent 13 years as an enlisted Marine, rising to the rank of Master Sergeant before he was chosen to attend Officer Candidate School. Appointed a Warrant Officer in 1976, he later converted his commission and was a Captain when he was sent to Beirut with the Multinational Peacekeeping Force in 1982-83. He served in a variety of assignments around the world and along the way managed to graduate with a B.A. degree in English from the University of Maryland. DYE worked for a year at "Soldier of Fortune" Magazine when he finally decided to retire in 1984. He spent time in Central America, reporting and training troops in guerrilla warfare techniques in both El Salvador and Nicaragua before leaving the magazine in 1985 and heading for Hollywood.Warriors Inc. My Interests

In line with his belief that no trail should be un-patrolled on the road to accomplishing the Warriors Inc. mission, Capt. Dye began doing interviews on local radio stations in Los Angeles and across the country as a duty expert on military matters when the Global War On Terrorism began with the allied invasion of Iraq in 2003. Turns out he was good at that sort of thing; glib, insightful and entertaining, at least according to the reviews. All this led to his enlistment as KFI AM 640's resident Military Analyst in Los Angeles. KFI is the number one rated news and talk radio station in southern California and Capt. Dye quickly built a large following for his segments on shows hosted by other station personalities. Within a month or two, the KFI management offered him a regular slot in their weekend programming which he accepted with the agreement that he could come and go as his movie and TV production schedule allowed. He now makes regular celebrity personal appearances for the station and hosts a weekend talk show from 1700 to 1900 on Sundays. If you're not located in the LA area, you can still hear his show by using the link to KFI on this page and listening to a live broadcast on your personal computer. (http://www.kfiam640.com/pages/CaptainDaleDye.html )Capt. Dye is also a member of the board of directors and spokesman for Operation Homefront, a patriotic organization that provides assistance to military families when a spouse is deployed. The idea is to help with domestic problems so the deployed military spouse can focus on the mission and be confident there is help available for his or her family in the event of an emergency. When those situations arise - and Capt. Dye knows from experience that they do - families do not always have the resources to handle them or family they can turn to for assistance. Operation Homefront provides that extended family, and that's part and parcel of the Warriors Inc. mission. We encourage you to visit their web site through the link provided and donate generously.www.operationhomefront.net
