The Ex-Kings

"Break from the fake and make yourself shine". The words of Vanausdal will bring you closer to the essence of what happens when 4 individuals come together and create music that has the ability to become the soundtrack for a very long over due musical revolution. This Phoenix quartet has been treading the boards throughout the Valley since the beginning of 07. Formed when drummer Keith Walker approached Mike Bassett (guitars) with the idea of starting a band that was different from the usual. A couple of rehearsals later, Eric Vanausdal was enlisted on Guitars/Vocals. The band rehearsed with a new intensity and began to feel that something great was beginning to take shape. The band still needed to fill the spot of Bass player and were finding it increasingly difficult to find the right person for the Job. Finally, Gary Lairson was recruited and he effortlessly slipped in to the role. Thus The Ex-Kings were born.
