What up... I’m currently performing with Telarc recording artist, Tony DeSare on his 2008 Tour. Destinations include Minneapolis, Boston, Miami, Washington D.C, Reno, Blue Note Japan Tour, and Australia.
I’ve got two basses I like to play...one is a 1950’s Kay that you can literally toss around, and it’ll stay in tune.... and the other is an 1840’s German... which, if you toss it around, will break into a million different pieces. Stay in tune? I guess it really doesn’t matter at that point... although I’m sure it would help if I could play in tune anyway... which I can’t! ha ha.... ugghhhh.. ha ha.
I’m looking for a good traveling bass, since everywhere I go, I play these plywood student rental basses with fixed bridges with whacky action. If there are any bassists out there who’d like to share their travel experiences, shoot me an email. I’d like to know what those stick basses are like... you know.. the NS Design ones, or Yamaha... etc... But I’d like to know from a player... not just online reviews. ha ha.
