9 PlanetsWhen not working with award winning recording artists, Producer/Engineers Fred Balayan and Tony Wall spend their spare time in the studio doing what they love most.Creating musical experiencesNever lacking in technical and creative skills, 9 Planets draw their inspirations from all kinds of music genres of the last 30 years.Tony has travelled around Australia many times as a musician and he's been making music since he can remember. He's spent the past 15 years developing the know how that has earned him a place along side Australia's best known and respected Producer/Engineers. His technical skills and studio knowledge are well known throughout the industry and he's worked with top class artist from all over the world. His obsession with electronic music comes from a deep desire to explore soundscapes that are not restrained by the limitations of acoustic musical instruments and traditional song craft. Tony's favourite artists include acts such as Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, Enigma, Prodigy and Faithless whose approach to music have, at one time or another, redefined the popular expectations of electronic artists.Fred has had a passion for music from day one. DJing for most of the late 80's and early 90's he was well placed when house and acid music hit our shore for the very first time. Things have never been the same since!!. His love of electronic music has taken him many places in body and mind, from the very first "RAT" party's in Sydney,to the most amazing early 90's "Rave" partys, Fred was always there growing with the musical trends. Fred has spent most of the last decade developing his Production skills and for the last 6yrs he's been working as an inhouse engineer at the world renowned Studios 301, giving him the opportunity to work with some of the best artist from all around the world.This duo has an enviable list of credits which include The Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, INXS, Kanye West, Kiss, Black Eyed Peas, Midnight Oil, Human Nature.Much like their backgrounds, their style varies from Progressive/Psychedelic Trance to Dub and Chillout. When 9 Planets make music, their goal is to create an experience for the listener that both, frees their mind and sets them on a journey of discovery through sound. But the journey does not end with the music. 9 Planets are also creating digital art that will compliment their sound and ultimately be released as a DVD.Along with music creation, 9 Planets has applied their unique style when Remixing, Producing, Mixing and Mastering music for other artists.Thanks to the help of local DJ's and Promoters, many people have already enjoyed the 9 Planets experience.
