About Me

Im fairly laid back and enjoy life to my best ability.Always ready to help others. Favorite food is Chinese and Indian. I work as a woodmachinist in a joinery factory mainly making doors windows or whatever. We specalise in traditional joinery and have made many windows for buildings of listed status.Some of my work can be seen in Blyth around the town center and Harbour area. I did a time served apprenticeship at G and N Wrights of Blyth and was taught my skills by my father and several old hands who were the best in the trade. I m a keen photographer.Prefer to shoot live bands and try to not use too much digital manipulation on the finished results. Have photographed many local bands and the pics have appeared on their websites/myspace pages. Some have been published in local music magazines and local papers. I did Shotokan karate for five years from 1988 to 1993. I was graded to 1st dan black belt by Charles Mack of the British Shotokan Karate Association at Westminster Cathedral Hall in Victoria ,London. I ve also trained with Dave Hazard, Sensei Masao Kawasoe, Terry o Neill, Billy Higgins and Kevin Brewerton (Kickbocking) . I ve also trained with other styles Muay Thai, Ju Jitsu and Lau Gar Kung Fu.

My Interests

Photographing and videoing heavy metal bands.Listening to heavy metal and live music. Computers. I help run the MANTAS Street Team with Helen B.Damned promoting extreme metal band Mantas fronted by Jeff Mantas ex guitarist from Black Metal founders Venom. I helped video Mantas for a promo video for the track Zero Tolerance which was immense fun to be involved with . And some photos were used on the album Zero Tolerance. Hoping soon to help with promoting the band DRILL ( formerly called Mantas )through the Street Team and whatever else I m called upon to help with. I also am involved with local band Red Letter Suits lead by the very talented Angela Moulding. Some of my photos were used on their last cd single, website/Myspace and promo shots.

Music:

Mantas, Slayer,Venom, Defcon One,Destruction,Kittie,Chimira,Machine Head,Anti Product, Cradle of Filth and Black Label society.To name just a few of my current favorites. In general I like most heavy rock from the early 1970's to todays modern heavy metal . Not into this emo stuff either ..Not to keen on Green Day or Blink 182 but a couple of songs are ok

Movies:

Not really a movie fan as I never sit still long enough to watch a movie from start to finish ! Got a very short attention span ( like a goldfish ha ha !)But I do like the Hellraiser movies.The Da Vinci Code was good but never saw it all the way through ! See what I mean about the short attention span.

Television:

Dont watch much tv but like River Cottage, Coronation Street Little Britain and A League of Gentlemen.

Books:

Not much of a book reader.I prefer factual books and magazines instead of fiction.
