Carpathia is a fictional city, ‘somewhere in Europe’, nestled ‘twixt mountains, lake and forest.
The videos on this site represent our first tentative steps into this nightmare world.
Carpathia is a society that has lost its bond, a society that forgets to ‘love its neighbour’, a society of lost souls gripped in the torment and grind of a hand-to-mouth existence.
The narratives have fairy tale simplicity but the unfolding events have a contemporary feel– the growing gulf between rich and poor/the exhaustion of natural resources/corporate and international bullying/our increasingly violent world/and one’s individual responsibility, if there is one, to the society we live in.
Carpathia could be anywhere there is disharmony and strife, it could be Baghdad or a run down council estate in one of Britain’s inner cities.

In the end the epic story of Carpathia will be a clarion call for tolerance and unity, love and compassion will triumph and bring harmony to the world. But before we get there, things get dark as fuck.
