Christopher Keith Irvine (born on November 9, 1970), better known by the ring name Chris Jericho, is a Canadian actor, radio host, rock musician and inactive professional wrestler. Jericho is best known for his appearances with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and is credited as being the first ever WWE Undisputed Champion and a record holding seven-time WWE Intercontinental Champion. His father, Ted Irvine, is a former National Hockey League player. Despite his strong Christian beliefs, Jericho's stage name was not directly inspired by the ancient Biblical city of Jericho, but from heavy metal album entitled Walls of Jericho by the German power metal band Helloween.
