Love Above Glove was formed by Travis, Bobby, and Nate in early 2005 with the creation of "Sherri's Piano" which was magically produced by Bobby and dedicated to his lovely better half Sherri. The song was an instant hit and left the fans wanting more.
Next came a song called "I'll always love you" which was written for mothers day. The 3 core members invited Ryan to sing the chorus of the track and the mothers fell in love all over again with the sweet melodies of the 4 combined.
In September of 2005 the 4 got back in the studio to work on a song titled "Late Tonight" which is about havin a gurl tell her mama she'll be comin' home late tonight because that's how Love Above Glove rolls. Third time was definitely a charm because at the release dinner that night in Chilli's the 3 core members asked Ryan to be a permanent member of the group. Ryan of course said yes and the 4 have been unstopable ever since.
In December of 2005 the band almost came to an end when Nate announced his departure to Hawaii. Instead of giving up the 4 got back in the studio and pumped out some soon to classics such as "Since we've moved on" "Sorry (ft. Kyle Anthony)" "Sherri's Piano remix" and the infamous "Mike Chang." The R&B/rap quartet released those songs during a performance at Nate's going away party and the crowd could barely contain themselves, all members of the group leaving with scratch marks and missing pieces of clothing from the adoring fans.
Sadly more than a year went by as LAG went on hiatus. Bobby pursuing a career in music recording, Travis pursuing his love for cagefighting, Ryan taking time out to work on his solo album, and Nate working strenuous hours to the bone trying to provide for families in poverty for his non-profit organization called "Putney cares." The 4 remained close dispite a few conflicts between Ryan and Travis concerning women.
In April of 2007 the 4 came back together to record another song and see if they could still do it like they used to. The results came out better than expected with a brand new song with a new sound called "Shotgun." The recording didn't stop there. Ryan announced his departure to NY for the summer so the group had to get back together yet again to record some new material for the fans and the outcome was a more serious sound with deeper lyrics from the songs "Nothing Like My Ex," "The Eyes of a Lady," and "Untitled for now."
The group is currently working on new material so keep checking back with the page for information.
