This is the official Kiai Academy Street Team Myspace page. Street teams have a tendancy to become annoying, and in turn become more of a hinderance to the band they are trying to promote than a benefit. Because of this, there are some rules we'd like you guys to follow if you're gonna help us out.
1. DO NOT go into any forums (music or otherwise) and spam the shit out of Kiai Academy. Most of the time this results in the band getting shit on by the forum regulars.
2. DO NOT badger radio stations to play our stuff, particularly when we post a bulletin along the lines of "PLEASE STOP REQUESTING US, the radio staion is going to kill us", trust us, it's happened before, and it just looks shit on us, and they ended up getting the shits and not playing us.
3. We will be asking for people to hand out flyers etc to promote upcoming shows, releases etc. If we do so, and you feel so inclined to help us out, MESSAGE, NOT COMMENT us your address so we can send you what's needed. Naturally, your address will remain absolutley confidential, and messages containing postal addresses will be deleted almost straight away in case someone hacks the account.
4. Please don't try to communicate with the band through this account, it is for street team activities. If you want to tell us how good looking we are, and how much you want to hook up with Pete, do it on their myspace account... They write back most of the time.
5. Please do any promotion of KA as tastefully as possible. As we said before, spamming just pisses people off, and doesn't help anyone.
