BMC 2008

It's all about the music!

About Me

WHAT IS THE BALTIMORE MUSIC CONFERENCE?
A showcase of Baltimore and of Music of course!
The Baltimore Music Conference has been established to enhance the visibility of Baltimore as a center for the music industry and the general public to gather together to discover local, regional, national, and international talent.
Situated between Philadelphia & Washington, DC and more widely between New York & Florida, Baltimore's location is the perfect place to draw the entire east coast together as well as the world!
The seminars and workshops serve to educate the musician, the DJ, and the public. The artists serve to entertain you.
The BMC serves to bring it all together!
Our showcases host several stages featuring the talents of musicians and bands of all genres playing predominantly original material and DJs spinning the hottest music out in all genres of electronic dance music. All bringing the finest music to Baltimore.
The Baltimore Music Conference continues to bring recognition to music here in Baltimore as well as worldwide and to those that make it happen! Add in educational forums, artists, vendors, film, dancers, plus more and you have undoubtedly, the hottest four day event in the Mid-Atlantic region!
One part music festival and one part educational conference, both presenting promotional, marketing, vending and networking opportunities for all. This year’s event, scheduled for September 17th - 20th, will be held at several visible downtown venues all around town. Some are known for large up-scale events, some more underground. Some host concert series and some are charming and quaint. Much like the BMC though, all are known to draw a varied and diverse consumer demographic as this annual event promises to continue to bring recognition to music here in Baltimore as well as worldwide and to those that make it happen!!
Here are the happenings and ways for you to be a part of it!
Perform...
This year's musical showcases will be held Wednesday - Saturday nights at several Baltimore venues known for their support of music and the arts and also includes BAM, an outdoor festival on Saturday.
Our entertainment committee will work closely with venue owners and managers to choose the talent being presented at each venue and BAM.
Sponsorship...
Join together with the BMC as a sponsor and place your name in front of the 1000’s of fans at the event, in our program, on our website and in all of our promotional materials leading up to the big event itself! Music Biz 101... A major aspect of the conference is the seminars and workshops led by some of the most respected and well known in the music industry. We strongly believe through education comes better music, better performers, and better businessmen and women. Host a seminar, conduct a workshop, or join your peers for a panel discussion and help teach the up and coming both the old school way and the new cutting edge as both have their place in the industry.
The Marketplace…
Exhibiting offers endless opportunities to showcase, develop, and sell your company's products and services at the center of the action during BMC. A stand is the ideal place to distribute recordings and publications, demonstrate audio, lighting, video, studio and musical instrument gear, meet developing songwriters, producers, and DJs, promote new artists or sell an idea. BohJamz… Musical showcases held at various venues around the city offer additional sponsorship, advertising and promotional opportunities.
BAM... B’more Arts & Music – this is what it’s all about!
The outdoor event hosts numerous stages with both emerging and established talent as well as visual artist performances throughout the day culminating all that the Baltimore Music Conference stands for.
Sell Your Wares or Strut Your Stuff...
Additional vendor spaces are available at, as well as promotional spaces, in order for you to sell direct to the fans & performers attending or to let everyone know who you are and what you do at BAM, the outdoor festival.
Promo Central...
We offer promotion availability to nightclubs, venues, promoters, and companies dedicated to promoting musical talent and wanting to bring local, national, and/or international talent to Baltimore
Keep the Music Alive!.. Official Parties of the BMC...
Throughout the year, various clubs and venues host parties and special nights dedicated to raising awareness and funds in support of the BMC. Our staff helps to host & promote your event which in turn promotes the BMC and our shared belief in keeping the music alive!
Attend...
As a fan, friend or family member of one of our many performers. A music industry rep, a venue owner, employee or patron. Music Lovers... Young or Old. Rock fan or Country fan. Dancer or "Train Spotter". We welcome and invite everyone to attend one or all days as there is something for everyone!
Volunteer...
During the planning stages and/or during the event, volunteers are needed for every aspect of the conference.
Email [email protected] to sign up to be a part of it all!
***The next public meeting for this year's event will be Tuesday, May 27th at Gecko's on their 3rd floor. 2318 Fleet Street at 7:30pm

My Interests

A major aspect of the event will always be seminars, panel discussions, and workshops as we strongly believe through education comes better music, better performers, and better businessmen and women.

The Courtyard Marriott & Hilton Garden Inn, our host hotels & both located in Harbor East, will serve as headquarters for the conference, where the keynote speaker, seminars, workshops and cocktail parties will take place.

We are pleased to announce that we're adding a film component to the conference this year as well as additional aspects of the art & entertainment industry
