News: 4-3-07: Great fucking news! While attending the Prurient/Burning Star Core/Bloodyminded/Carlo Giffoni show at the Flower Shop the other night, I got a chance to speak one on one with Dominic Fernow, whom many of you may know as the mastermind behind Prurient. I have the great pleasure of announcing that his New York store Hospital Productions will now carry Bickering Bray and Black Moss items. Check out the site here for more info on this excellent store:www.hospitalproductions.com ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................ 1-11-07: Here's what Matthew of Teeth Collection has to say about the massively blackened split tape from myself and brother in grimmness Josh Lay: "BLACK MOSS / JOSH LAY - split c-30 More grimness from the blackened noise gods. 3 tracks… side one is a mail collab, which I believe started with Black Moss and ended up with Josh Lay. The ceremony begins with a pulsing rhythm, overblown cheap keyboard and metal scrapings come in and out of the muck. Around 4 min we get into what seems like the second movement, much more violent and abrasive, again there is a rhythm but this one is struggling for air amidst the gunk. At 7 min we get to movement 3… feedback, gorgeous blissful feedback, which gets ugly real quick. Side two is a solo track each. The first being Black Moss, vocals and feedback and guitar mesh together for a think garbled mess. Josh Lay follows this with loop of chanting, that eventually ends up like some overblown slow motion pig grunting… which ends up shredded pork by the malfunctioning machines of the doom factory. Cover by Black Moss, pro printed gloss paper. Ltd to 50" Yeah, that pretty much says it all! ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................ 1-8-07: I just received 8 copies of the Black Moss/Josh Lay split cassette from my pal Matthew Reis at Epicene Sound Recordings. I'll be selling them on here as well as at Reckless Records and Metal Haven, or you can get them direct from ESR, just follow the link below in my FRIENDS SECTION or visit www.epicenesound.com. ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................ 1-7-07: Just uploaded images of all the Black Moss releases available. New split tape with Josh Lay is out now pretty much, just waiting to receive them in the mail. All the releases are available at both Reckless Records location in Chicago and at Metal Haven. If you wanna order 'em from me just shoot me an e-mail and we can arrange something. Also, be sure to visit my website coming up soon. www.beardofmoss.com. Happy New Year. Till next time, keep it grimm. ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................ 9-30-06: Pillars Ov Thee Anceints is out now!! Fucking sick silkscreening job by Sarah from Shortpants Press (www.shortpantspress.com). 45 minutes of icy nordic bleakness and galactic power hate. Contact me for ordering info. I accept payments through paypal. The CD's are $8 and I'll send these anywhere in the world.
