BIO Algo Nuevo ... Something new. That’s what Visual is.
Amongst all the guns, drugs, violence & empty pop music lays an inner city Latino kid born & raised in Chicago who just simply wants to make music & tell the truth while doing it.
Think KRS-ONE, SCARFACE, KANYE WEST & NAS ....
Visual began his development as an emcee enthralled by the auditory atmosphere he found within his Logan Square home on Chicago’s North Westside. Regardless of all the drama, guns, drugs etc, Visual and his family held their ground and made it through those rough times. Music was the main thing that gave Visual an alternative to the downside of his neighborhood. He was especially captivated by any type of song that was thematic, in which the musicians passed the listeners a lens with which to view their story. Artists such as Stevie Wonder, the Temptations, John Lennon, Krs-One, and Nas instilled in Visual a fascination with story-telling. It is in this spirit that Visual chose his name. Visual believes that regardless of your birthplace or experience, he can offer you a means through his music from which to see life from his perspective.
Consistently appearing on mix tapes (including his Community Service crew mix tapes), releasing an EP (Dirty) and an LP (Work) both under the name NDvisual, and collaborating with Chicago pioneers the Molemen: Visual is steadily establishing himself as one of the hardest working emcees in Chicago. A relentless Grinder, Visual continues to display a work ethic that conveys not only a love for music, but an evident desire for success. Visual's long-term goal is longevity within the musical arena, but believes his Hustlers resilience will provide opportunities for other ventures as well. Visual is not only an artist but also manages his own music career, promotes, books shows & release his own music independently
The hard work has apparently begun to pay off; Visual has shared the stage with Grammy Award winning/ J Records artist Rhyme Fest, DJ A-Trak (DJ for Kanye West), Atlantic Records artist Lupe Fiasco & Underground legends Atmosphere amongst many others ... Visual is currently finishing up his next album "Working Class Legend" which will include production from The Molemen (Rhyme Fest, Saigon, Cormega, Atmosphere, Mf Doom) Domingo (Krs One, Big Pun, Rakim, Amy Winehouse) & Rashid Hadee (Little Brother,Common, Special Ed). Later in 2008 he will begin work on an album entirely produced by undeground legend & blood brother; Panik from the Molemen ... the future looks clear for Visual V I S U A L
