Henri Brown (HB) has a long and expansive background in the music and film industry. He was reared in a family of performing artists, notably, the first cousin to 1960’s rock guitarist, Jimi Hendrix; the son of Pearl Brown, a jazz singer known as ”Black Cultured Pearl”; a nephew to 1950’s and 60’s television singer and personality, Eleanor Collins who is now a member of the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame. Undoubtedly, HB’s destiny was the entertainment industry.Early in his performance career as a singer/composer/band leader, HB groomed and developed HB Concept. The band won the reputable T.V. network (CBC)’s Fame Game competition which resulted in a half hour television show. Soon after, the band was named most promising act of the West Coast Music Awards. HB Concept has since met with international acclaim throughout their European and Asian tours.Other highlights include producing a live jazz concert featuring vocalist “Black Cultured Pearl” and Trumpeter, Wynton Marsalis.Always and ever diverse, HB has been a working actor for over 20 years.2006: After a successful, “bring the house down every night”, stint at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore with his new band “HB Wild”, HB is gathering the forces to produce a killer new album. This project will be a deadly blend of new-school vibe and old-school flavor, with some incredible special guests lined up to join in the party. 2005: March 2005, HB will complete the CD production of a fabulous up and coming artist named “Alisha”. He will then proceed with a new production on a long awaited “HB Concept CD augmented by the extraordinary voice of “CHAN”. Also on the production table for 2005, will be a stunning “all girl” group from Manila named “Flower Child”. The list of talent goes on as a young talented South African singer/rapper named Lee-Ann will be introduced to North America. Last but definitely not least, HB will produce the second CD of a soulful and equally personable male vocalist from Perth Australia, “Tod Woodward”.2004: Commenced a South East Asian tour with his talented reputable band “HB Concept”. Again HB goes over the top and intensifies the show by comprising 11 pieces in the band. They opened the tour on New Years Eve 2003, at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. HB resumed the tour with his talented band “Seven”. From there they went to on to Taipei from Jan to Jun performing at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The band then headed to the Crowne Plaza in Dubai from July to Oct. The Party didn’t end there; they eagerly ventured on to the Singapore Grand Hyatt until the End of Feb 2005.
