THE LOCAL music community recently suffered a great loss with the tragic passing of Wilfrid Hernandez, who was more popularly known to music fans as "Wolfmann." He recently succumbed to aneurysm. He was 28.
An innovator who married the two parallel worlds of electronica and rock, Wolfmann captured the hearts of fans through his unique and uncompromising style. Wilf, as most of his friends called him, made two independently-released albums; "Breaking the Beat" (2002) and "Diner" (2004).
In honor of a great human being and a great musician, here are some thoughts of people who have fond memories of him:
"I miss him every day. He left without saying goodbye. None of us was really prepared for it. I know he wants us to be happy. But he must forgive us if we grieve. I'll always remember him more as a friend than a bandmate. If I could talk to him now, I'd tell him, hanggang sa muli." - Ebe Dancel (Sugarfree/Cambio/Wolfmann+)

He is genuinely interested in you and sincerely loves applauding and cheering for you. He's a reliable buddy. He was passionate and hungry for great music. Even if it takes him forever to set up his stuff, he'll do it to make sure he'll give you a great set. He loves immersing himself in people's stories. That's why he's always present in productions, launches, special events. Masipag. Persistent.
