Nickel-Us F Biography“I’ve sold a few thousand CDs doing me… Now I want to sell millions doing it for the people,†says a cool Nickel-Us FThe Richmond, VA native and top prospect for A&R’s across the country has had his share of ups and downs on the road to success, but 2007 is the year we will see the budding emcee actually blossom.“My inspiration comes mainly from experiences and emotions,†explains Nickel-Us F. “I’m not a super thug, I’m just a regular dude, but I’ve done some grimy shit in my life.â€Residing in Richmond, VA where he fined tuned his talent for the last seven years, Nick got his first big break in 2000 when he was 17 and got chance to spit against 300 contenders in the regional Source Unsigned Hype Emcee Battle. He placed second in that competition with no formal recordings under his belt.From that experience Nickel-Us F took his skills to another level and started to look at being a Hip Hop artist more seriously. From 2001 to 2007 he’s been on his grind to make a living out of recording the music he loves. “I just hope to make a steady living… I just wanna make it happen and be able to support a family,†says Nick.Since 2001 Nickel-Us F has recorded an overwhelming amount of material that is waiting to be heard. Right now he has three mainstream mix tapes under his belt (“B Stands for Burglarz,†“Cut the Check,†& “How to Build a Buzz for Dummiesâ€) and two singles (“The Burglar Hop†[2004] & “Nurp!/Toast & Jelly†[2005]) that have garnered play from deejays across the country. The video for “Nurp!/Toast & Jelly†that has been distributed and played on various video outlets since 2005. With all this Nickel-Us F is primed and ready for the mainstream.“I got radio spins with no payola or crazy marketing tactics. They were just feeling the records and the people (my fans) were just hitting up stations to hear them. So I know when I’m ready to drop my official, official first single it’s going to be crazy,†says Nick.
In Richmond, VA Nickel-Us F has a following like no other artist. Most, if not all, of the up and coming young artists from that region look up to his talent and strive to be on that same level creatively.With his company Ranyi Day Entertainment, his crew; The Burglarz, and a team of producers that has already made a mark in the industry (M.Rell [G-Unit], Bei Maejor [Trey Songz & Bun B], Lab Ox [G-Unit] and Boi 1da [Drake & Dipset]) Nick has enough ammunition to take over a for a few rappers with top spots in the game.Nickel-Us F has lived through it all and is brutally honest in his music.
