Was war, was ist und was so kommen wird
Liebe Freunde der „The Splashdowns“, das Sommerloch steht an und bietet eine fabelhafte Gelegenheit für eine kurze Zusammenfassung der letzten Ereignisse und einen Ausblick auf die nähere Zukunft der NASA-Ingenieurskunst.
Was war denn so?
... ein paar gute Konzerte vorwiegend. Toll war Berlin, zusammen mit Stevie + his Sideburns. Tolles Trio, die es auch richtig krachen lassen können – erinnerte mich ein wenig an uns als Trio (hihihi). Auch schick war der Auftritt in Hannover mit u.a. Türspion (sehr entzückend) und Teddy Boys from the crypt ... (sehr laut). Bei unserem jährlichen Betriebsfest (Abteilung Astronautik) ging es auch wieder hoch her (Frau Blumental, die Cheffsekretärin fing sich doch tatsächlich beim Twisten an auszuziehen ... no joke!) – außerdem stimmte die Gage wenigstens mal und es gab mal was anderes als Gummibrötchen zu essen.
Was ist denn so?
... zunächst sind natürlich Werksferien – da freuen sich alle drauf. Wir nutzen die Zeit um neue Stücke zu schreiben und zu proben – selbstverständlich nur Originale, heiße Stomper in alter Tradition aber mit dem Blick nach vorne! Wir sind schließlich immer noch keine Nostalgiker.
Was kommt denn so?
... Auftritte. Einer steht schon (am 27.09.08 im Heartbreak Hotel in Bremen). Weitere folgen. Da wird dann das schicke neue Material frisch dargeboten. Außerdem möchten wir eine neue Platte aufnehmen – die Bestmögliche überhaupt. Wir haben schon eine Idee, wo das gut gehen könnte.
