The name ’SHARMBER’ represents the formation of the band.
Sharmber are an International Touring Sydney based rock band fronted by two powerful female guitarist singers and driven by a solid seasoned male rhythm section. Touring internationally and throughout Australia, Sharmber perform and release powerful and memorable rock.
Sharmber’s unique sound is defined by the distinctive nature of the band’s line up.
Vocals duties are shared between the two front line ladies (Sharnee and Janie) who sing like angels but play guitar like demons. This is no ’girl band’. The blasting guitars and melodic vocal pairing of the girls make Sharmber a very unique beast.
The solid male rhythm section empower the band’s driving live sound and harmonious depth and colour is added vocally by the bands drummer, who if you listen closely cleverly directs the traffic without ever over playing. Instead he plays for the song, with groove and conviction that cannot be reckoned with.
As a collective, Sharmber write great songs and portray mature diversity within their song writing which enables them to co-exist with their audience who are intensely captivated by, and connected with their music. You get the feeling that their music could be played almost anywhere, while at the same time Sharmber maintain a left of the middle approach to their craft, which is a trick that only a few bands can pull off.
In the studio the band have worked with well known producers such as Tony Wall, David Nicholas, Daniel Leffler and Rick Will. On the road Sharmber have shared the stage with bands such as Cog and the Butterfly Effect and have recently returned from their International Tour to New Caledonia playing 6 extensive shows at the "Live En Aout 2007" Festival which drew 10,000 punters.
Sharmber have released two EPs ’a view’ and ’The Days’. Hours of music have also been recorded in pre-production for their album to come, which proves Sharmber aren’t exactly waiting around for things to happen. Watch this space.
