Bicoastal meeting ground! I'm looking to meet people here or over in LA, where I'm off to eventually. I want to meet people who are like me in some ways, who complement me in others, and basically are not closed minded to all the wonders the world has to offer. For those I do not partake in, I am always looking to learn, and I want to meet someone not afraid to grab the world by it's balls and every now and then, when the mood is right, give it a little squeeze.
Mostly goth music and all its incarnations: goth, industrial, darkwave, EBM, goth metal, synth pop, you get where I'm going. I'm bridging into punk with Bad Religion, and I've been dabbling in harder metal with Fear Factory and Static-X type stuff for years, but never latched onto the genre like I did with goth. My favorite band is Pop Will Eat Itself, I love Covenant, Assemblage 23, Wolfsheim, Bile, that kind of stuff. I really should list it all, and I will soon, but for now, just click on Christopher in my friends list. He copied my music folder, so that's where you'll find my tunes list ;-)
I have an extensive collection (courtesy of Blockbuster's buy 2 for $20 or buy 3 for $25, whatever deal they have when I pass), my favorites are typically 80's movies, including Breakfast Club, Legend, Labrynth, etc. I love stupid parodies like Hot Shots, all Mel Brooks movies, and Airplane. I love the Princess Bride, and some kiddie movies like Neverending Story. I love horror flicks, my favorites are zombie movies and Hellraiser stuff. I like psychological movies, Vanilla Sky, Donnie Darko, that kind of thing. I even like some 'girly' movies, for instance Someone Like You (but girly or not, Hugh Jackman ROCKS! And he should have been the new Bond, not that weirdo from Tomb Raider (sub parenthetical - no offense if I ever get famous and he reads this))
Not a big fan on tv, but since I started downloading shows, I find I like a few: The Shield, Nip/Tuck, Friends, Family Guy, Six Feet Under, Rescue Me, Huff, Rome, The Wire, Boston Legal, House, and Touching Evil, despite it being cancelled.
Fantasy: Terry Brooks, George R. R. Martin, Tad Williams, Raymond E. Feist. Horror: Stephen King, Peter Straub, Lovecraft Abstract Thriller: Chuck Palahniuk Military Drama: Nelson DeMille
Jim Carrey and Denis Leary. And myself. I love me.
