Sounds Like: THE MUSIC
Born in the early 90's,Black and Death Metal, Magon and Cerri have always been inspired and fascinated by the Emperor and Dissection's epics and powerful melodies, together with the Swedish Death's aggressivity (Dark Tranquillity, Amon Amarth, At The Gates). Therefore, Non Omnis Moriar's songs are structured into powerful melodical rides, supported by a serrated and fast paced drumming . The "blues" touch which exalted songs like "Waiting in the Dark", "Drago Nero" and "Walzer" comes from Oppezzo's oustanding bass parts, which honour this instrument, sadly too often forgotten in the extreme metal. Non Omnis Moriar is not an easy musical proposal, being it deprived of simply strophe-return schemes, and choruses both in line with the tradition. It's nothing but a free, complex and unique metal.
LYRICS
With the Exception of "Illusory Dream", all the lyrics have been written by Sam, who, now fascinated by the new melodies and motivated by the variety of the song themselves, elaborated a fresh, personal style, far from the old aggressive and nihilist "Karnage" one. Cruelty, unconditioned hate expressed trough poetry, hidden meanings and a somehow controlled vulgarity. "Drago Nero", for instance is a gloomy righarole which speaks about inner death, that Black Dragon within us, devouring our remorses and fears., a mix of poetry and expression of pain, it perfectly suits the multiform sounds of the group.
