Modex is a two-member band - Gaby and MartÃn V - that was created in Buenos Aires, Argentina, by midyear 2003. It is during that same year that Modex made its first appearances at clubs in Buenos Aires: very powerful and exciting shows - with a sound combinig the the late 70s and early 80s new wave/postpunk/disco punk atittude with the electro dancefloors that made them one of the most exciting live acts in argentina and southamerica! The use of synthetizers , Martin V sharp guitar sound and a riot vocal style with ironic and cynic lyrics from Gaby produce a stunning display of electro/disco punk and new wave that have became their trademark, enjoying success on the gig circuits as in the dancefloor. Modex have become a "must see" act in Argentina, Southamerica, Europe and a main player in the electronic & rock scene playing almost everywhere. Adding a great visual performance through exclusive designed videos by Barfuss ( www.barfuss.com.ar ) the impact of Modex on the electronic & rock scene reflected in the admiration of fans, and in the acknowledgement of critics and national and international artists. In 2003/4/5/6/7 they performed in various national & international festival (Codigo Pais (bs as), Cosquin Rock (Cba) , ElectroRock (Orfeo Superdomo, Cba), Estudio Abierto (bs as), Festival De Arte Electronico (Rosario), Verano 07 Planetario (bs as)) and toured Argentina, Chile (Blondie, Club Bizarre (Stgo de Chile) and Deck 00 (Valparaiso)) and Europe ( First Europe Tour with gigs in Club Evol (hosted by ladytron) Liverpool with Klaxons, School of Arts Glasgow, Rockers Inc 3 Berlin, Being Boiled (hosted by Client) at Notting Hills Arts Club London, Computer Blue London)..In October 2006 Modex first video for the track “Cellular Phone†directed by Barfuss is released with rotation in Mtv LA and Via-X Chile. In Mach 2007 they made a Mini Tour through Europe (Pre Large Tour), playing at Le Garage , Madrid , Spain, at the Inauguration Party of Tonstudio , Stuttgart, Germany 2 times in a row for press, Vip and Public and at Love & Hate Party at White Trash , Berlin, Germany. In October/November 2007 they made their 3rd Europe Tour playing at La (2) de Nitsa, Sala Apolo, Barcelona, Spain; Sala Nuevo Garaje, Murcia, Spain, Cafe La Palma, Madrid, Spain and two awesom shows in Russia!, first in 16 Tons, Moscow and then in Achtung Baby! , San Petersburgo.

-------------------------------------Formado por Gaby y MartÃn V a mediados del año 2003 en Buenos Aires, Modex comienza a circular por los clubes de la ciudad con shows viscerales: con un sonido que convina el new wave/disco punk/post punk de fines de los 70s y principios de los 80s con el electro de pista que los hizo uno de los mas exitantes actos en vivo de Argentina y Sudamerica!
El uso de sintetizadores, la guitarra filosa de Martin V y el estilo vocal "riot" de Gaby con letras ironicas y cinicas producen un impactante derroche de electro y new wave que se ha convertido en su marca registrada, disfrutando del mismo exito tanto en las pistas de baile como en salas
de conciertos. Modex se ha convertido en un acto en vivo imperdible en Argentina, Sudamerica y Europa y en un participante principal en la escena tocando en casi todos lados. Sumando un gran manejo de la puesta visual por medio de videos exclusivamente diseñados por Barfuss (www.barfuss.com.ar) el impacto de Modex en la escena electronica y rokckera se ve reflejado en la admiración de fans y el reconocimiento de la crÃtica y de artistas nacionales e internacionales de la escena.
Durante el 2003/4/5/6/7 participan en varios festivales internacionales y nacionales (Codigo Pais (bs as), Cosquin Rock (Cba) , ElectroRock (Orfeo Superdomo, Cba), Estudio Abierto (bs as), Festival De Arte Electronico (Rosario), Verano 07 Planetario (bs as)), giran por Argentina, Chile (Blondie, Club Bizarre (Stgo de Chile) y Deck 00 (Valparaiso)) y Europa! En mas de una oportunidad. En Septiembre/Octubre del 2006 emprenden su primera gira Europea con fechas en Club Evol de Liverpool donde son elegidos por los Ladytron directamente para participar de la noche junto a Klaxons, Glasgow, Golden Gate – Berlin, Notting Hills Arts Club donde son seleccionados por las Client para participar de la noche que ellas organizan- Londres y Computer Blue de la misma ciudad.En Marzo del 2007 realizan un nuevo pero Mini Tour por Europa presentandose en vivo en Le Garage , Madrid, España, 2 veces en la Inauguracion de Tonstudio en Stuttgart, 1ero para prensa & VIP y luego para el publico en general para luego finalizar con un gran show en White Trash de Berlin , invitados por Peaches para participar de la noche que ella organiza Love & Hate Party!. En Octubre/Noviembre 2007 comienzan su 3er Gira Europea, tocando en La (2) de Nitsa, Sala Apolo, Barcelona, España; Sala Nuevo Garaje, Murcia, España, Cafe La Palma, Madrid, España y dos impresionantes shows en Rusia!, primero en 16 Tons, Moscu y luego en Achtung Baby! , San Petersburgo.
