About Me

John is the sole survivor of the Celtoi, currently operating solo, and is keen to meet other musicians in the West Midlands who wish to team up and work in the general area of Celtic/Folk. He would particularly like to push the boundaries beyond the ubiquitous Irish and Scottish into Breton, Gallician, Eastern European etc, perhaps with a bit of Reggae or Rock creeping in! Instruments played are: Accoustic and Electric Guitar, Melodeon, Portuguese Guitar and Bass Guitar. You can see these on the rotating cube to the left. The accompanying tracks are from the Celtoi era and whilst demonstating the guitar technique do not reflect his latest work on writing original pieces for the guitar. So far, no luck with the words, so if there is a songwriter out there looking for music.....

Cool Slideshows
Sounds Like: Listen to the tracks, taken from our CD "Crossed Wires" but better now after much practice! - on "Laride" you will hear John on guitar, Mark on melodeon and Rob on mandola. On "Johnny Ddu" the same line up, but with the late, lamented Denise on vocals. "Dainty Peggy" same as above, but with Denise and John on vocals.
