Influences: Growing up an only child escaping through music, listening to everything that came my way from the "sound of music"; to punk and indie, hip hop to country, techno to jazz, soul, latin, music from every country and 20th century era that I've ever visited or dreamt about visiting...
And in general...
travelling, running away, restling with staying put, letter boxes bringing piles of paperwork, urban anxiety, being skint, daydreaming, feeling misplaced in this era in the modern western world, loving tiny bits of it despairing at most of it! joining a vaudeville travelling circus in the southern states circa 1920 and a band of flamenco gypsies in the 1940's, busking ancient city streets and plazas..neon lit motels appearing like ghosts on empty highways, waiting for the first bus at dawn in a one horse town, the early morning sun, the ocean, night trains, boarder towns..being dusty brown with sun tanned bare feet, existing mainly in a candy floss cloud of day dreams and nostalgia..
Sounds Like: Billie Holiday meets Hank Williams down a dingy Paris alleyway cueing for a nightclub with his posse of Andalucian Gypsies and wandering Jews.
