TUNA: Did you just hit her car? FEATHER: Yeah, but what's she gonna do about it? BUFF IT OUT, FATTY!

About Me

2007 has so far, and certainly will continue to be, a year of change for me. While the Arizona club remains, it has been dissolved somewhat in the water that is life--some members live on another coast, some have moved into the realm of marriage and career aspirations, etc. For me, new people have entered my life and reminded me of certain things about myself that had been hidden for a few years. You know who you are. Life's funny...and definitely moves along in stages. To a very small extent it's about what you know and what you do, but more, it's about who you know, who you spend quality time with, and who you influence. For a while, I didn't influence anyone in any good way because I was mad at the world or just mad at myself for not being further along, etc. I think those days are over. While stupid people still piss me off, and they probably always will, I've learned that quietly observing and letting people live in their delusions is a-ok. It's not my job or my responsibility to point out everyone's flaws. It's enough work to recognize my own and try to be better. And I'm happier being good to the people around me who matter. Thank you to the people I've known for over a decade, and thank you to the the new people in my life who have opened my eyes and my heart to the things I had forgotten about. You rock. Here's to all of You; here's to accepting things and appreciating them for what they are and not just what they could be; and here's to 2007, the year of change...

My Interests

simply the best layouts around
....

I'd like to meet:

Dude, of course..CHIKLIS!!!!If TELLY was real, I'd wanna meet him (wink)

Music:

Let's start with the life-changing bands, shall we? RADIOHEAD. NIRVANA. MOGWAI. MOGWAI. Did I say MOGWAI??? SYSTEM. EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY. ISIS. RUSSIAN CIRCLES. GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR. TOOL. PORTISHEAD. Whew...all great music to write to. How 'bout a little BRAND NEW in there, STORY OF THE YEAR, some creepy social satire from LEONARD COHEN, some old skool (well-written, moody) COUNTING CROWS (so that means nothing from the last 5 years--i.e. Shrek soundtracks, etc.),ummm can't forget the classics LED ZEP, DOORS, AC/DC. Newer hard stuff from HURT, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, PUMPKINS, AUDIOSLAVE, CHEVELLE, VENDETTA RED, STAIND, GREEN DAY, NONPOINT, METALLICA, LIVE, LINKIN, NIN, and the best Christian (yeah, Christian) band I've ever heard, FLYLEAF. Seriously, they rock. Check out their page.Mellower stuff from REMY ZERO, ALANIS (vindictive, articulate bitch--yes!), SNOW PATROL, THIRTEEN SENSES (great Brit band). And sometimes you gotta just rip shit up with MUDVAYNE, SLIPKNOT, ATREYU, THRICE, chick-metal from OTEP (fuckin INSANE...such a great writer...), KITTIE, etc.

Books:

Anything by philosophers or true visionaries can keep my interest (i.e. Tolkien, Clive Barker). For suspense, hard to beat Dan Brown. Angels and Demons is a masterpiece. WAY better than DaVinci Code. Just about anything dealing with religion intrigues me. Oh, and let me take this opportunity to politely say F*CK BENNY HINN. HE'S THE DEVIL.

Heroes:

One word: CHIKLIS. The man has HERO written all over him.Rachel Sterling...future ex-wife:
