SadDoLLs were formed by guitarist PauL EviLRose in September 2006 in Pireaus, Greece. Just for one gig deal as a HIM tribute band, with only a few rehearsals in studio, the first live show took place on 29-09-2006 with PauL EviLRose on guitar, MiLToS_DeMoNiZeD on bass, Babylon on drums, George Downloved on vocals and Eri ..boards. The audience reaction and comments after the gig were very positive and so it was mutually decided that the band should continue and play together again! SadDoLLs became "official" as a band and started composing and arranging their own material and also many well known covers. After a while, Eri left the band due to personal reasons but in a very short time Sweet Bloody Mary replaced her ..boards in the best possible way! The band needed a second guitarist urgently to make it's sound more rich and full, some rehersals with Perri Misery took place but the deal was off soon... Daniel Aven, a close friend of Paul EviLRose, was asked to join the band and finally SadDoLLs took their official form.
Two live shows in January and February of 2007 gave SadDoLLs a better idea of what it takes to play in front of a bigger audience. It was about time that we could hit the studio and record our very first song called "Hopes". The song became an instant "hit" between our fans and it was played on a couple of clubs with very good comments. SadDoLLs were asked to give an interview on "Athens International Radio" with Major Tom as a host of the show. Everything was great and another live show was arranged on June in a very well known club called "Onoma Tou Rodou". Unfortunately a couple of weeks before the show and with very few rehearsals remaining, drummer Babylon had to leave the band. A close friend of MiLToS_DeMoNiZeD, Lazarus, was asked to help as a session drummer and with his great skills the band managed to play it's greatest live show in front of a very energetic audience! Great things end soon though... Lazarus couldn't stay as a bandmate and chose to continue with his own projects. The band took a break for summer holidays and agreed to enter studio again as soon as everyone was back and available. Some days later, Philippos S. met with the rest of the band and after a rehearsal he took his place behind the drumkit.
New studio recordings started on mid-August and 3 new songs were recorded and mastered by the end of the month. As soon as they were uploaded on our myspace profile we started getting more and more friend requests and great comments day by day! A small but "dedicated" fanbase started to grow and we couldn't be more happy about it! A demo CD was the only thing remaining so we could go a step further with our project. Our very talented friend Miron was asked to make the artwork for it and we made a first small batch available which was quickly sold out!!!
Due to personal reasons, two members had to leave the band in November 2007. Fortunately their places were not left empty for a lot of time, very soon two new members were added, Darroc for drums and Oberon for keyboards. Both of them are very talented and great musicians to work with. They will help our band take a (hopefully) final shape and sound even better.
