About Madeleine:
Madeleine is a singer that grew up in Stockholm and early realised that music was her true calling. She has been singing with vocal coaches that have mastered different genres which has widened her own music spectre.By the age of 16 she started to attend the music school Stockholms Estetiska Gymnasium where she studied musicproduction and sound-engineering parallel with the singing for 3 years. The education also included courses in music theory, songwriting and several genre widening ensembles.
The result of these studies, and a true interest in music in all it's shapes, is that Madeleine finds joy in most kind of music. Naturally, since she is working with different genres, her own music often tend to be a mixture of several genres at once. (Examples of this will hopefully be uploaded on Myspace later this autumn.) But even though she has been influenced from many directions her base is R&B, Soul and Rock. "When I write a new song I usually start with my favorite-genres as a base, R&B, soul or rock, and then spice it up it by mixing in other genres like for example jazz or funk or sometimes just by simply mixing them together"
Madeleine is currently studying at Stockholm University law school but she hasn't let go of the music because of that. She is working part-time as a vocal coach at the stageperformance school Alby Fejm in Stockholm.
