ALL OR NOTHING

About Me

Ladies and Germs, check out our new songs, 'Say What You Want', 'Supernatural' & 'Cradle', off of the 'Ebb And Flow' releaseCodex is named after Leonardo Da Vinci's 15th century manuscript of future inventions. As their source of inspiration, the band fuses live music with sequenced samples and breakbeats. This futuristic hybrid of trip-hop, techno, soul and drumnbass has made Codex one of the most provocative acts coming from the Toronto, Canada music scene. 1996 is the debut year both for Codex and Canadian drumnbass: their 12" vinyl "The Remixes" is the first drumnbass recording released by a Canadian artist. 1997 LA based Cleopatra/Hypnotic record label, adds them on their DrumNBass from Toronto compilation Metro Breaks 1998 - LA-based World Domination Recordings seized the opportunity and signed the band right away. 1999- 2002 Remixes for Sony Esthero and Scoring for films and TV for HBO, CITYTV 2003 - 'the Vinyl Remixes III' released 2004/2005, 4th CD Chasing the Fiery Dragon released. 2006, Codex becomes 4(Eldorado, Shai Locke, Cool Hand Luke and DQ). Thus begins a new chapter of musical revolution adding jazz, funk, rock and hip-hop to the fusion. 2007, the new chapter, 'Ebb and Flow', is released. Only a matter of time before TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION. /
