About Me

Well, I am who I am. I am a teacher, a medic, a granddaughter, daughter, mother, wife, sister, ex-wife, ex girlfriend and likely wear about a dozen more hats that I am neglecting to mention. I love my home and my family and friends and am proud to know all of them. I love history and read all the time (when I have the time, that is) and am currently writing a book.

My Interests

I love music, always have. I love to read and spend a lot of my time reading or reading to my daughters. I enjoy geneology research and designing web sites on the side. I am always up to date on current events one way or another (thank goodness for my ipod!),

I'd like to meet:

I have met a lot of people on my journey through life thus far, yet I would truly like to meet some more of the people in Washington that represent us. I am not into celebrities, as I have met many and believe me when I say there is nothing special there- usually very shallow people that still put their pants on one leg at a time, and who cares if they are designer pants???

Music:

Everything has it's purpose, audience, and merit. I love music. It is truy the universal language. Bring it on- metal, alternative, country, R&B, etc, etc, etc......

Movies:

Movies have gotten way too formula and silly. I like thought provoking films that are not filled with gratuitousness just for the sake of being gratuitous!

Television:

Love "HOUSE"! Since I have worked in medicine for so long, I have to say that I think Dr. House speaks the way I longed to many a time. The dialogue on the show is priceless. I also watch American Idol and laugh along with my two oldest daughters.

Books:

I can't get enough.

Heroes:

Tom, Josh, Mandi, Martin, and anyone else that has defied the odds and overcome difficulty in life- those are the true heros among us.

The Fairy Tale Clause

This poem was sent to me recently by my Aunt and my Mother, and I feel the need to share it. Ever think about how unfair it is to have been raised (especially as a young girl!) with...

Movin' Right Along

Well, things are still up in the air as to where I will be teaching in August. Not unusual for it being so early in the year, but nerve-wracking nonetheless. I have had 2 interviews in the past two we...

Another Week Gone Already?

I can not believe another week has gone by. Seems like the younger you are, the more you want the week to fly by, and the older and wiser you get, the more you want a pause button on life...

Wrapping Up The Week

What an interesting week. Last Friday night I found out that my friend Mandi lost her son suddenly in January. I was stunned and saddened. Colby was such a beautiful little boy. My ex hus...
