The Highly Respected Dr. Fangaz

About Me

My mother is the reason I'm the producer that I have become. She introduced me to music at the young age of 6 when she bought me a drumset. As kids can be, I was unappreciative of music back then and I tore up the drumset. Later my mom bought me a little Fisher Price turntable and gave me her record collection and told me to enjoy them. Well, I did just that! But that didn't set me off as of yet! Break dancing with childhood friend, cousins, and eventually rap partner, Dadee Za got me started. Eventually, I became a DJ during 1986. My mother bought me my first real turntable and mixer and I learn how to scratch and cut from hip-hop DJ's whom appeared on Soul Train. I did so well that all the DJ's in the city who had a name for themselves came and asked me to show them how to do a certain scratch or cut. Later down the road, I got a drum machine because of the lyrics from the song, "Beatbox" of 2 Live Crew member, Fresh Kid Ice. I was so overwhelmed by having a drummachine and I knew making beats was my calling! As years passed, Dadee Za and I met Freddie Mo, D Baines, D Dangerous, Keino Blue PKA Univers and Keith aka Kill em. Afterwards we met Rick Rock (Platinum Producer: Da Federation, Da Ruffnexx, Tha Phat Ratz, Deb Doc, Da Crumbsnatchaz (Kevin Khao Cates - Grand Hustle Entertainment), El Derado Red-Federation & Redcoats, Doon Coon aka Doonie Baby (Da Federation), Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, E40, C Bo, Killa Tae, Jermaine Dupree, Ray Cash, Ice Cube, Jay Z, Fabolous, Method Man, Mystikal, etc). We were all one big hip-hop family with the motto "No one is above the Crew". All of us had tight production work. Thanks to help from Rick Rock, Dj Shab Rock, and I Dj Grand Exaltant --aka GholdFangaz -- pka Dr. Fangaz. After everyone continued down their seperate roads to "making it in the world of music" I met my current manager, Macguyver. We both worked with the group "Dirty" and helped them overstand how to work in the recording studio, that was during the time Montgomery rap artists started getting a little buzz crackin'. Soon, Dirty got a deal with Universal Records and afterwards I started workin with other solo artist like Lavish Lo, Killem, Mike C, L.O.N.G, El Derado Red, L Gin, C Thugga (Lawn Boyz), Queazy, Kurt Monsta, D Baines and Mr. Blue. Groups include: Marquis (currently a solo artist :Queazy), Southern Playaz, Bama Boyz, Gump Click, Deuce Komradz, Alamob, Cadillac "T" Ent., Hard of tha South, Westside Heavyweights, Southern Boyz, PK Playaz and SCG. I also had the priviledge of working with Disturbin'the Peace and Ludacris, Spice 1, and Bubba Sparks.
