Horrible Swill Productions, founded by Mike Fig in the spring of 1999, began in the sleepy drug induced haven that is Middle Village, Queens. Originally dubbed elegantly 'The Acoustic Show', the first shows were performed in Queens at such memorable shit holes as 'The Hilltap Tavern' and later on at 'B.V.'s Tavern'.
In early 2001, during a state of madness and absurdity, the show was renamed Acoustic Rock Madness when Mike Fig's cousin Michelle Krauter joined the fledgling drunken fray and added her own spin on what was fondly remembered as a cyborg of music not to be listened to by most individuals albeit the attendees were using/under the influence of mind altering chemicals.
Following regrettably memorable performances at The Hilltap Tavern and B.V.'s, the show hit the road to Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island where legions of people or 'peeps' as they lovingly called themselves showed up to the show with a friend or two, got drunk, got laid, got in a fight, blacked out, got robbed, sang out of tune and had, as they affectionatly refer to it as 'the time of their lives'.
Acoustic Rock Madness has had many guest peformers hit the stage along with Mike and Michelle. These guests include: Drinking With Bob. Hmm, I must have meant guest not guests.
You can catch Acoustic Rock Madness, like a person with alot of fiber in their diet, regularly at B.V.'s Tavern In Queens NY and Cassidy's Pub in Bellmore NY. Be sure to check us out in 2007 at venues around the metropolitan area as well as your neighborhood, in your basement, while your parents and you are away drinking your alcohol and playing music. The Acoustic Rock Madness lineup consists of Mike Fig, Michelle Krauter, Jack The Whack, D.J. Tonez on the turn tables and MC and occasional appearance by Mark Foundries.
