About Me

What do I care about you when all must die?
What does your face mean to me when all my eyes can seize must die?
What is your warmth to me, it will not last
What about your hair, can it do, what the atoms will, last?
What is music, a drug forever falling
What do you care about words, as you do, what the bombs keep doing, fall?
What do I think of you, Amor, when all my eyes can seize must die?
What are you smiling words to me, all their beauty and grace must die...
SOME SELECT FACTS OF ALL THAT IS WILLIAM ICARI!
(I wish not for you to feel slighted by anything that may be percieved as pretension or self-glorification. This is just me being me.)
- For the most part, I'm only social when I have to be or if I'm in such a mood; other than that, I don't like being around people. They bother me. But I wouldn't mind getting to know YOU a little better! C'mon, try me...I'll give you a cookie.
- I am a multi-genre music composer; music is just about the biggest reason for me to get out of bed in the morning; be it listening or composing. Moreso than work, food, or other so-called "necessities". Been writing and arranging my own material since 1998 and see no reason to stop now. Foo'
- My compositional style isn't relegated solely on any specific genre, though it mostly lies in metal. I've written songs of varying degrees, such as Black Metal, Prog, Classical/Orchestral, Electronica, Acoustic Folk, Death Metal, Thrash, a touch of Shred, blah blah blah.
- I don't smoke. I don't drink. I don't do any sort of illegal substances. And I don't wish to start any time soon. That's right. I'M NOT COOL! Isn't that great? =)
- I haven't gotten around to getting pure ice running through my veins, but come Hell or Heimdallr, it'll happen. Just you wait.
- When I'm not fucking around with anything musical, I'm usually out and about (sometimes even with people believe it or not!), chalking up on my reading, watching a movie worthy of my attention, or other such time-consuming formalities. Ain't that grand?
- I'm fluent on the bass guitar, but I've stuck my creative hand into the waters of other instrumentation, including electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards, piano, drums/percussion, vocals (clean singing, black metal shrieks, death metal growls, etc.). I may not be the most proficient, but dammit, I'm trying!
- I'm a sucker for 3D shooters, such as DOOM, QUAKE, GOLDENEYE, etc. But I do NOT in ANY WAY like HALO. And yes, I've played it for myself. So there.
- Aside from music, I'm also a bit of a writer. Be it poetry, prose, narratives, or whatnot. Been writing probably around the same time I've been developing music, so of course, plentiful lyrics are abound in whatever musical project needs them.
- My creative vein has been stretched to many various projects, which include:
Paranormal Black Metal

Position(s) - Bass
Status: Active
Joined the group in the summer of 2003, in what seemed like my last attempt at finding a good musical outlet in Chicago (this was when I was offered a chance to move out of state to see if I could pursue my musical sights elsewhere...a plan which didn't come to fruition, thankfully). The experience so far has turned out to be better than originally anticipated, and as it stands, I'm here to stay.

Melodic Progressive Metal
Position(s) - Lead Guitars, Bass, Keyboards/Piano, and Drums
Status: Active
Formed in early/mid 2001 by myself and my brother. Originally slated to be merely a guitar/bass duo. He left the project a few months later, but I kept at it, adding additional guitar work, keyboards, and drums into the mix, and writing and performing all the material myself. The style progressed greatly over the years, from simplistic "space metal" to traditional thrash metal, to ambience, to the prog metal stylings written today. Today, it's still going strong; this has turned out to be my most prolific project to date in terms of most amount of music written.

VSymphonic Black Metal
Position(s) - Vocals, Bass, Keyboards/Piano, and Drums
Status: Active
The ideals were formed in mid 1998 by myself and a singer, back in high school. It was more of a simpler punk/thrash metal hybrid back then, with only mere hintings of what was to come. Essentially, I did all the work; writing all the music and lyrics, while he pretty much did nothing for it. In 1999, the entire project fell apart when he disappeared off the face of the planet in a drunken haze. But, as inspiration struck, it was revived in early 2004; this time in the style of hyper-speed, symphonic black metal, which fits the lyrical structures that much better than its humble roots.
Punk/Metal/Techno/Country Western hybrid
Position(s) - Vocals, Bass, and Synth

Status: Active
Formed as a simple side project in the summer of 2004 by various past and present members of EVERNIGHT. Sorta went on a roller-coaster ride in terms of work; a show was performed, then nothing, then another show, then some recording, and then nothing. It sorta fell apart in mid/late 2005 due to what seemed like lack of interest on everyone's part, save for my brother, who took the reins and reinvented the group. I ended up joining on bass, and, with the hopeful addition of a drummer, the new line-up should produce some seriously fucked up shit, indeed.
Feel free to ask anything about the aformentioned projects (anything that hasn't been mentioned).
ADDITIONAL MUSICAL PROJECTS:
EMBODIMENT OF DARKNESS (no logo)
Symphonic Black Metal
Position(s) - Bass
Status: Split-up
FATE: Waste of my time. We did about four practices and the whole damn thing fell apart due to an idiotic keyboard player and an over-zealous vocalist. I never spoke with them again, and don't wish to now.
(Years involved: 2001)
Black Metal
Position(s) - Vocals, Bass and Drums
Status: Split-up
FATE: My first foray into writing black metal music. I pretty much did all the work while the guitarist was either taking his sweet time practicing or getting drunk. Came up with three songs for the initial demo, but it fell apart before it could do anything. I'm looking to record those tracks eventually to tie up all the loose ends with this project.
(Years involved: 2002-2003)
Thrash Metal
Position(s) - Session Bass
Status: On hold
FATE: My brother's band. I played session live bass for a couple shows when his original bassist couldn't perform. As of this writing, he's getting all the material together to record, kinda like what I plan on doing with INFERNAL THRONE. However, I'm not sure where he plans to take the project/band; whether it'll be revived or not is up to him.
(Years involved: 2004-2005)
Death Metal
Position(s) - Vocals and Bass
Status: On hold
FATE: The first of the many projects (more than a few unfulfilled) formed by my brother and myself. This was the outlet for recording some of the worst death metal ever to grace analog tape. I'd like to think the experiment was a resounding success, as at one show we played, people left because of us. It was great...and very prolific, too; we recorded well over 12 albums in about 3-4 years, everything from full-on albums, smaller EPs, and shitty cover albums. Presently, MANATEE is on hiatus, as we both have better things to do. But should the mood strike, you might just see a new album come to pass.

VOID (no logo)
Thrash/Speed Metal
Position(s) - Bass
Status: Split-up
FATE: Former INFERNAL THRONE/EVERNIGHT guitarist Tony's original band. I joined sometime in 2000, and two weeks later, the band broke up. I practiced maybe one song, and that was that. No chance for revival, and therefore, no skin off my ass.

Mysterious and a scholar, you are a member of the Tremere clan. You are pretty loyal to your clan, well, you sort of have to...especially since you are blood-bonded to most of them. You are the intelligentsia of the Camarilla and are fascinated with the occult. Possessing the ability to use blood for magic, many clans don't like to approach you. However, that is fine with you. You tend not to trust the other clans anyway.
What Vampire Clan Do You Belong To? ..
.. You scored as Marius. You are the quiet cool. You are so mellow people are lulled into a false sense of security. When you are pissed god help anyone who crosses you.
