Orçun Koray Candemir (born on August 7, 1975 in Istanbul), is the lead vocalist of the Turkish rock band Kargo. He took steps towards a solo career, with the release of his debut solo effort Sade (Simple) in 2001. He also starred in the movie His Secret Life directed by renowned Turkish director Ferzan Özpetek. He is currently a student of engineering at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.
Besides singing, Koray plays the guitar in Kargo. In 2002 he was one of the jury of the Siemens-sponsored Sing Your Song - Sarkini Söyle music contest which gave rise to a new wave of rock performers like maNga (with whom he has a duet called Kal Yanimda) and Emre Aydin.

Kargo Grubu
Kurulus Tarihleri 1996 öncesine kadar uzanan müzik grubu. Ilk albümlerini 1994 yilinda çikardilar.Ama o zamanlar grupta Koray,Burak ve Serkan yok!Kargo içlerinde simdiki Selim'in de bulundugu solisti bayan olan 5 kisilik bir grup.1996 yilinda Selim hariç grubun diger üyelerinin ayrilmasiyla beraber gruba Serkan,Koray,Burak ve MSS de ekleniyor ve Kargo'nun asil tarihi iste o zaman basliyor!..MSS'yle beraber Yarina Ne Kaldi,Sevmek Zor,Yalnizlik Mevsimi,Sen Bir Meleksin ve son olarak Efes Dark için bir albüm yayinlayan Kargo 2000 yilinda dagiliyor ve MSS'de bu siralarda gruptan ayriliyor.4 yillik aradan sonra ilk albümlerini Ates ve Su'yu 2004 yilinda yayinlayan kargo artik yoluna Koray,Selim,Serkan,Burak dörtlüsü olarak devam ediyor ve son olarak 2005 yilinda cover albüm olan Yildizlarin Altinda'yi yayinliyor....
Kargo Türk rock müzik tarihinin öncü gruplarindan sayilabilir.Önceleri üstlerine yerlesmis bir boyband imajlari olsada artik bu imajdan siyrilip oturmus bir grup olarak yollarina devam ediyorlar ve uzun yillar bu piyasa da ayakta kalmayi birbirlerine olan saygilarina bagladiklarini söylüyorlar...
Kargo is a successful rock band from Istanbul, Turkey
The band was formed in the early years of the 1990s by Selim Öztürk and Mehmet Senol Sisli (bass guitar). The first line-up soon broke up and the two founders had to find new members. First it was Serkan Çeliköz (guitar, violin, keyboards, contrabass) who joined the band and then Burak Karatas became their drummer. In a local bar they discovered Koray Candemir, whose voice made a great impression on the band. With Koray joining them, they began working on their second album, Yarina Ne Kaldi (What Is Left For Tomorrow), released in 1996. The album was able to break into the pop-dominated Turkish music market and Kargo started to climb up the charts and become the first successful rock band in the history of Turkish rock music.
