BRAND BACKGROUND
Since 1989 Moriarty has been providing hand stenciled / screen printed garments to friends & associates along with small East London boutiques .... now operating out of studios in Barcelona, Moriarty Clothing launches its 07 Range at Margin 07.
Running out of a large shared studio space in Barcelona, Moriarty Clothing is ran by Jonathon Wilks and a small team keeping everything tight, cutting edge and unique.
COLLECTION INFORMATION
Fabrics : Using soft fine cotton jersey for mens t's, 2x1 fine rib cotton for girls vests, combined cotton lightweight fleece for sweats & merino wool for male and female knitwear.
Colours range from classic grey t's with subtle grey prints to bright yellow dresses with black prints. Barcelona is generally sunny so we have been influenced by bright colours, although we have all also lived in london and are always amazed and inspired by the fashion diversity there.
Being a small studio means we can spend more time and effort making the garments exactly how we want, experimenting with colours, fabrics and doing small limited print runs which larger brands can't.
All garments are slightly fitted, we've steered away from box shaped heavy t's and gone for a more classic fit, the girls vests are all tight fitting apart from the mesh tank basketball jersey which is slightly baggy. The dresses are figure hugging and are meant to be worn over jeans. The knitwear comes in classic fit meaning not to tight and not to baggy.
The bags are hand made here in Barcelona using the strongest denim for a long lasting 'every day' lined bag, suitable for laptop, magazines, and all the other little things which we can't seem to live without which fit nicely in small zip pouch attached by chain inside.
All garments / accessories are meant as everyday items, unique, extremely comfortable & classically fashionable.
