Dawn

Um. This is my headline. Wurd.

About Me

I'm an aspiring cartoonist, and work as a graphic designer to pay the bills. Check out my new comic, "Zorphbert and Fred", linked below. Now for some exciting facts about me:-- I'm originally from Cleveland, OH and I'm a die-hard Cleveland sports fan. Go Cavs!- "Scrat" from Ice Age, the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?", and "The Christmas Story" never fail to make me laugh until I cry.- I've been a big Smashing Pumpkins fan for 13 years, and I'm not embarrassed to admit it! I hope their "reunion" and new album doesn't make me regret posting this.- If you offer me ice cream, I'll do damn near anything. Within reason, you perverts ;0)Hope you get a kick out of Z&F!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Other cartoonists, artists, designers... anyone interesting, really.. and if you try and spam me via comments, I'll sick Zorphbert and his phaser gun on you. You don't want none of that.

Music:

Smashing Pumpkins, The Black Keys, Jets to Brazil, Garbage, Bright Eyes, Prodigy, Boom Boom Satellites, Franz Ferdinand, Modest Mouse, Bjork, Wilco, Cursive, Desaparacidos, Jawbreaker, Moby, Our Lady Peace, Pilfers, Primus, Remy Zero, Tool, Weezer, White Stripes. The classics are great too: Doors, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Hendrix, etc.... even like Billy Joel, even though he sometimes sounds like a muppet.

Movies:

American Beauty, Fight Club, Ghost World, Ice Age, Triplets of Belleville, Amelie, American Splendor, Sideways, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Truman Show, The Lords of the Rings trilogy, Igby Goes Down, Crash.. god, I could go on forever. There are actually good movies out there.. if you look beyond most of Hollywood's crap.

Television:

The only reason to own a TV is for "Whose Line is it Anyway", the god damn funniest thing I have ever watched. Well, now it's to watch the reruns of the show, and hate ABC for screwing those guys over. Pity.Other than that, TV sucks, and network execs should be drug out to the street and shot. Make a reality show outta that. No, I'm not bitter. Go away.P.S. I'm SO into Scrubs now too. Why do I always get into stuff after they're only seen in reruns?

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird, The Hobbit, Angels and Demons, Running With Scissors, Dry, The Glass House, Me Talk Pretty One Day...endless comic collections you don't need me to recite... hm.. there's probably more.... but my bookshelf is in the other room.. and I'm lazy.

Heroes:

I wouldn't call them "heroes", because heroes save people, and these guys just inspired me. But they all kick ass in their own way. Thanks peeps! (like they'll ever see this)Lynn Johnston, Bill Watterson, Arron McGruder, Charles Schultz, George Carlin, Pablo Fransisco, Chris Rock, Blake Schwarzenbach, Conor Oberst, Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlain, Dawn Staley, Lebron James, Colin Mochrie, Brad Sherwood, Carol Schuenemann, Dave Noyes, Scrat ;0)I'm sure there's more. Can't think of them now
