Welcome back!!! The Greater Cleveland Basketball Association (GCBA) has returned for its fifth year of competition. The Street Dreams Tournament is a four on four full court league with complete stats. The league will have three divisions based on a teams talent levels and two conferences depending on where the team is located.
Games will be held primarily on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 A.M. - 8 P.M. and on Monday - Thursdays from 6 - 8 P.M. in Brecksville Ohio. Each team will play 15 regular season games where the top seeds in the division will enter into the conference tournament. The winners of the conferences will play each other for the championship. The playoffs will begin after the regular season concludes and continue until Championship Weekend on August 17-18. On June 21 - 22 an All Star game will be played along with a three point shoot out and a slam dunk contest. The all-star game is held during the Brecksville Fair.
Games are played outdoors and are four on four with dead ball substitutions. Games consist of two twenty minute half's with a five minute half time. Each team will be required to bring $25 per game to pay officiating fees. Teams are allowed 7 personal fouls per half where no shots are taken until the 7 fouls are used. During the final three minutes of each half there is a thirty second shot clock and all fouls will be shooting fouls. Teams will be issued seven (7) timeouts every game in which each is a minute in length.
Teams can be made up of five to twelve players. Once registered, team shirts will be provided. Each team will receive 8 shirts, additional shirts will cost $7.
You can register a full roster or sign up as a free agent. Free agents will be added to our free agent list and will be paired up to create franchise teams or will be added on to existing teams. The cost of entering the free agent pool is $50 but to register a full roster is only $375. You have until April 18th to sign up. This way schedules can be issued one month before the season starts, giving players enough time to mark their calenders. Teams will not be added to the schedule until full payment is recieved. Remember teams must bring $25 per game in order to pay for ref's.
It's first come first serve so make sure you get your fees paid off as soon as possible. We cannot reserve teams and you must pay to play. The teams who sign up first get the first choice as to what time and day their games are scheduled
Let us know what level of experience you have so we can pair you up with fair and entertaining match ups. Be honest, the diamond league is highly competitive, with the platinum close behind. We dont want to place you in the wrong division, so please if you just picked up the sport tell us and we will give you good match ups.
