RIGHT ON ABOUT NOW .... Just saw the new Danny Boyle movie "Sunshine" the other week. Very 'VERY' indeed. The story's got holes but the movie itself is wonderfully ambitious. Truly stunning design, 'BIG' issues tackled ( if not sadly resolved ) and a real humanity to it, you can tell it came from a good place. Something tells me there's a much better Director's cut on the way, it does whiff of a 'Holywood' ( or should that be Hollywood ) edit. Well worth a peak mind. Great score by Underworld too. // David Lynch's "Inland Empire", the most extraordinary film ever, even by his standards, twisted, frightening, post-scary but a State Of The World address and possibly his greatest work yet // Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain" didn't get a release here, that's modern Ireland for you, maybe we'll be ready for it in 20 Years // "Once" // Saw "The Illusionist" the other other, very enjoyable movie, Jessica Biel is veryvery beautiful, Edward Norton very cool and the story's a good un' // "Babel" as deeply affecting and an Ensemble piece that comes together so naturally and profoundly, wonderful movie .....
