About Me

Ive been recording music for over 14 years. Currently my studio is located on the east side of downtown Houston, about a mile from Minute Maid Park, where the Houston Astros play...GO STROS!!I record ALL kinds of music styles, from free Jazz to Rap to Grindcore etc. I have recorded many Local Houston bands....Black Box, Gone for Good, Breed Society, Transmaniacon MC ,Down and Dirties,Fired For Walking, The Slipping Mickies, Silver Tongue Devils, The Linus Pauling Quartet, Tony Avitia and I-45, Incisor, also many Rap acts too....Street Sweeper and Young Gunner from Tree House Records, Shorty and Crew from X-Fam, Dyrty Livin Records, Miraj, FEV, Blindchild, Block Hard Records, Martell Music and many many others.I have a nice selection of mics, Pro Tools HD2 Accel system capable of 192 tracks, Sony DMX R100 "baby oxford" 48 input digital console. This Sony desk totally rocks!! Awesome EQ and dynamics section. The DMX also has killer AD/DA conversion, which rivals apogee. Also have Reason 2.5 via "rewire" on the HD2 system. All run by a PowerMac G5.As for pre amps, the sony has 24 high quality transparent pres, and I also have several API 500 series style preamps by A-designs, both the EM-silver and 2X P1, Shadow Hills mono Gamma, and 1 OSA MP1C and a custom API 512. These "lunchbox" pres are all transformer based designs which means they impart a fantastic color on the source. In a word...awesome!! I have a good amount of quality plug ins by UA and others, incliding all UAD dsp card pluginsRates: $60 an hour.Block rates available 10 hrs for $50 an hr.All block hrs MUST be done in 1 day, this seems silly to say but trust me...I NEED to state this. Studio time is available by appointment ONLY.
