Born the youngest of five siblings, he always found a genuine love music. From his father's reggae LP's to his brother and sisters dubbed cassette, MK was always inspired by the glamours of the game. His Influences range from artist such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Black Uhuru to KRS One, Kool G Rap and Rakim. "Scribbling rhymes was just a hobby to me, I used to just jot down my thoughts until about grade 10, when I started getting responses from the rhymes I had put together" said MK. "At first I was just doing little freestyles and little rhyme off's with my cousin in our basements how it started. then I just started battling anybody that could rhyme. I'm not gonna lie, I lost a few battles but it wasn't nothin to me, it just made me hungrier. My first being on anything that was released was a project from a few of my high school friends called one route. A friend of mine made a mixtape and asked me to jump on it. After that my school had a freestyle battle, which I was able to win. After that I got ready to go to college, where I was introduced to Legz, who was a friend of my cousin, Hughes. He knew I was nice from a cd I had given to my cousin, that he let his boys hear. They were both looking for some where to record and I had a link , so we immediately started working together". After one session of working together they then formed the group family first including their street team of Juice & G-money . To date the group has recorded many songs that have yet to be released. Planning and anticipating their first release "The First Coming", Mk, P and Legz have been tirelessly working to put their cities respectively on the map. Hailing from the suburbs Mk is able to give a different prospective into hip hop with a sharp and witty flow and a mature lyrical content. Being on both sides of the fence enabled him to use his experiences and speak on them from a different point of view then other before him.
