About Me

I don't edit this much but yes I am back from Italy now and I am preparing to go again as a TA this summer. I'm still in school and I am stressed. There is never enough time.

My Interests

Old Buildings, Dead Bodies, Annoying Music, Fuffy Kitties, Billy & Steve (they're my imaginary friends), Urban Exploring, Alley Shopping, Serial Killers, renaming all of the Lord of the Rings characters with alcoholic beverages, conducting pseudo-scientific behavioral experiments on the cats, wearing very painful but oh so cute shoes, objectifing boys from my kitchen window, starting trouble, blowing stuff up (only if it has pretty colors and goes boom)

I'd like to meet:

Someone to go urban exploring with and someone else who eats lutefisk.

Music:

Ted Leo, Beck, Fugazi, Sleater Kinnney, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Death Cab, The Paperchase, Zeppelin, Sugarcubes, Mission of Burma, Joy Divison, Spoon, Brazilian Girls, Elliott Smith, Pedro the Lion, Beta Band, Chris Isaack, Gang of Four, Against Me, Placebo, Broken Social Scene, Black Eyes, Q and Not U, The Evens, The New Pornographers, The Clash, Lou Reed, The Ramones, The Decemberists, The Distillers, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Wolf Parade and many many more. I have over 400cds. However I find myself listening to NPR constantly. I fall asleep to BBC World News and listen to it in my car. I rather enjoy This American Life and Car Talk in the car.

Movies:

Identity, La Jette, Blade Runner, Motorcycle Diaries, Batman Returns and Begins, Flash Gordon, Shaun of the Dead, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, Dark Crystal, Donnie Darko, Old School, Run Lola Run, Blood Simple, Clay Pigeons, Virgin Suicides, Gothika, Fight Club, Kill Bill, Orlando, Antonia's Line, Concieving Ada, Garden State, SLC Punk, Romper Stomper (absolutely love the last scene) Constantine, Sin City

Television:

Lost (don't get me started I'll talk for an hour about a single episode), Cowboy Bebop, X-files, Law & Order (SVU is my favorite), NOVA, Globe Trekker, POV, History Detectives, any documentry on PBS, Wire in the Blood (BBC)

Books:

Chuck Palahniuk, Tom Robbins, The Seventh Cross by Anna Seghers, Straight Man by Richard Russo (Empire Falls has good character development, skip the movie), Stiff by Mary Roach, non-fiction about criminal profiling, forensic science, anthropology, urban revitalization, architecture, historic preservation

Heroes:

I have no heroes. I am my own tragic hero.

My Blog

power tools

My boss brought in his drill from home. I am so in love. It's not all crappy, beat up and worn out like the drills we have here at the store. It also has more power.Tee hee. So therefore I a...

Last night in Italy

Today is my last day in Italy. It started out great, that is with an earthquake. One I actually felt and heard. I guess there have been four or five tremors the past few days. This was the strongest t...

My poor coccyx

Last night I went to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately my knees buckled under me and I fell on my ass. I'd like to blame the earthquake but really I slept through it. I have no idea why I fell, I've n...

Under the Tuscan Clouds

I'm in Florence right now and I am cranky. I'm stuck with 11 girly girls who don't smoke and rarely drink coffee or alcohol. They've formed these cliques(sp?) The average age is 23, and I'm the oldest...

Random thoughts

So I am sitting at my Dad's house debating whether or not I should go to Webb's. I doubt anyone will be there for very long. I'm bored. I decided to stay here this weekend, it makes sense rather than ...
